Go to Fells Point by paddle boat and enjoy the bars. That's the best pool action near the Harbor.

There are some well-regarded gentleman's clubs near the inner harbor. Pool, not so much, you'll need a car.

And there will be no walking around the city in the dark in groups of 3 or less. It really isn't safe, sad to say.

But don't bring a custom cue. Too many drunks with the potential to ding it. The decent pool rooms are not downtown.

used to be a place down by the water called Edgars............OTB

My 2 votes would be

http://www.tophatcueclub.com/ Shimmed gcs, bar boxes and ping pong

billiards, gc and diamonds and snooker,

Noteworthy...neither has alcohol, both ~20-30 min from inner harbor in low traffic times.

Big Daddy's in Glen Burnie

Big Daddy's in Glen Burnie IMO is the best Pool Room in Maryland. It is probably 20 minutes or so from Baltimore. 14ea 4 1/2 x 9's (GC's and Diamonds). They also have a 6x12 Snooker table. Good people and excellent equipment.

Yeah if you dont mind playing on shit barboxes in overcrowded small bars and pumping in a dollar in quarters per rack and you probably wont find any action there as it will most likely bangers. Go to Fells for a good time and drink, not to play pool.

Top Hat in Parkville is a nice place. Some action still there but most moved to another pool hall. About 20mins from Downtown Baltimore. Nice tables, clean place now. Cheap rates

Running Out Billiards in Dundalk seems to be the action place right now. it floats around every few years. Nice tables as well. Cheap rates. Now owned by local legend Cigar Tom.

Kelley's in Parkville on Harford Rd. Will probably have to pay for parking at meter if you dont feel like walking from the shopping center that's a block away. Might get some action there.

Green Room in Dundalk. Clean place. Only one of the 4 that I listed that has a bar and serves alcohol if that's your thing. All valley barbox though. tables are in decent shape. Big place for APA leagues. Decent rates as well. Some action players hang out there and are there for Masters league. Might scrape up something.

Hope this helps.

No way they have 14 Diamonds! Besides, a man can only play on 4 at a time anyway!

Good point, but there is some good pool times to be had at Fells Point if you know where to go.

I actually thought the OP was looking for someplace near the Harbor; thus, my suggestion of Fells Point.

How far is Big Daddy's from the Harbor? Is it a quick drive? I've never been there, so I don't know. Just curious. :p

Is that ESPN Zone still up there by the Harbor? Didn't they have pool tables?

How far is Running Out in Dundalk from the Harbor? It's one one or two exits on 95, isn't it?
