I may possibly be in Newark NJ or Baltimore MD from Jan 31 - Feb 5 for my job. Any recommendations on pool halls in the area?

Thanks in advance
Shawn

B'more is a big place...lots of pool, depending on where you are.

Where are you (gonna be?)?

31 Hopkins Plaza, baltimore, md is where I will be working....staying at a Holiday Inn nearby. If I go there, not sure just yet, its either there or NJ
Hope that helps

Hopkins Plaza is a few blocks from the Baltimore Harbor. There's a lot of cool stores nearby, but I don't think there is a pool room in that area. You've got Little Italy for good food and Fells Point for some bar action within a cab ride.

I do think the ESPN Zone is within walking distance from there. That is where they used to have some of the pool shows on TV, but I don't know if they have pool tables there.

JAM, you always have great useful information. I appreciate that!

Thanks for your help....if you see someone that looks like a redneck tourist...that will prolly be me

No tables in ESPN Zone. There are a few poolhalls in the Baltimore Metro area, for 9ft tables there's Runnin Out (sp?) in Dundalk, MD (about 15 min or so from downtown) TopHat Billiards, not sure of the address but you can google it. There's usually some pretty good action in both bars in the weekends and evenings.

For barbox pool, there's The New Green Room in Dundalk (about 15 min or so from downtown) they have 28 bar box tables, all in really good shape and the food is good and the beer is cold!

There's also Cheers right off of 695 in Bel Air, MD. It's gonna be about 25 min or so from downtown but I've heards it's nice.

There are several poolrooms within 20-25 min from downtown.

There used to be a poolroom downtown called Edgar's but I think it closed down some months ago.

I'll send you a PM with my number, give me a call if you're in town and we can hit a few spots if you want.

You probably won't want to be hanging out in Newark. Not a single public pool table in Colonial Westfield. (I grew up there). Neighboring towns do have bars with tables and pool halls. J&Js Route 22 Scotch Plains. PJs in Linden.
Make sure you and your buddy visit forum member Sandman's place. Sandcastle Billiards in Metuchen. Have Fun.
