Wow, Dallas has it going on! This article details the B.E.T.T.E.R . program where these teams play each other from different high schools. Is this how CJ Wiley got his start? Check out their schedule!

And what about that Intimidator cue? Is it really the most expensive cue in the world at $150K? And if you tried to play pool with it, it looks like it would jab you in the patootie!

I think it's not a cue, and I've heard of collectible cues (that could be played with) going for over $200,000.

I saw all those kids from Dallas in Junior nationals.......Only a few had a real love for the game. But it was neat how many of them there were. Wish there was stuff like that when I was in H.S.

Earl has done a great job with the HS youth. Each year more HS's join the program. We are very proud of the fact that Earl is one of our Instructors.
CJ is not from Dallas.......SPF=randyg

Lambros

Lambros Had The Dragon Cue At Valley Forge For $200,000 And The Buyer Was Playing With It !

Lambros was letting a bunch of people hit balls with that dragon cue at valley forge when i was there watching..

and when i asked him a question about it, he was incredibly rude to me..

Please don't PM him. We ALL want to know how this program gets implemented in the school system. Thanks!

CJ Wiley is, I believe, from Missouri as I've heard a few stories about him and a couple of people he used to "run" with.

The Intimidator cue is disgusting in every way. I don't care. I'll say it. And people can say whatever they want about me.

Taking a medievil battleaxe and putting a leather tip on the end doesn't make it a cue. And the concept alone doesn't make it worth $150,000. It just makes it a high priced mistake.

I pretty much agree, that Intimidator is pretty wild fantasy. I wouldn't even call it a cue stick. My 2 cents.

I wonder how much some of the billiard implements owned and used by some of the royal families in history would fetch at auction. Could be way more than we are talkin here. Anybody know?

It is as ridiculous as mounting a cue shaft on the bumper of a Rolls Royce and then calling it a expensive cue. Even better would be mounting a shaft to the nose of the Space Shuttle and not only will it be the most expensive cue but it would also be out of this world.

It may not be the most expensive but it's certainly the most stupid. (Although maybe if you are a serious cigar aficionado you might find it practical)

However their "Fantasy Cue Getaway" thing sounds like it would be fun, although I can't imagine anyone paying a minimum of $10,000 for a McDermott cue, no matter how customized.

I really wish the schools here in Florida would do something like that.
I am a sophmore and It's interesting to see how my friends react when I tell them about the billiard sports in general. I actually have a plan to talk to my princapal to show him the positive sides to the game. I had oraginally had plans to start a junior leauge, a local thing. The game should be impliminted
more as a pisitive thing rather than a negative thing.
Just My Opinion,
Method
