Tennessee has taken a beating and WAY to much water. Nashville area is a disaster area. Clarksville where I play on league has water filling the room I play at:frown: I hope its not such a loss that it is closed down. So many have lost so much. My prayers go out to all effected.

Hate to hear this 8up. If you find yourself in the Bristol area, drop me a line. We'll link up for some play.

Chubby, my name is Ron. I play on "Chalk it up" Jeff is the captain and his lady Pam is the waitress. I have only been on the league about 6 weeks.

Roy I do not get away very often but if I find myself headed for Bristol I will shoot you a pm

Dartman I have no idea

Hate to hear this - we love Nashville. My wife and daughter go to the Country Music Fest every summer. I hear Opryland Hotel was under 10' of water and they had to evacuate 1500 guests. What a mess.

It was.'t "under 10' of water but it was 10 feet deep inside it to my understanding. It will be closed for 3 months they are saying and their employees are getting 6 weeks full pay and benefits which is cool. They did still have the Grand ole Opry weekly show but held it at another location.

Our thoughts and prayer are going out to Nashville as well. Someone from there sent me pictures of the disastrous flooding of the Opryland Hotel, and it is sick. I hope all dry out soon and they are able to recover.

But please, not the poolroom.

Dave

I haven't heard of any damage at JOB's. They are a few miles north of Nashville, in Madison, and at a higher elevation, away from the river...so they should be fine. That's THE place to play in the Nashville area.

Yes....they had the Opry at the original site.....Ryman Auditorium....a real treat for those that had never been to it during the heyday. I'm from Memphis and my family lives in Millington.....we were blessed as the water stopped rising about a foot from my parents door.....but yes prayers are in order for a great many displaced families that have lost all they ever had.
On a happier note.....if you ever come to Memphis shoot me a PM. I'll buy ya a rib dinner that will make ya want to slap your mama...

danquixote I usually make it to Memphis in the spring to help my father. He rides his horse in an endurance ride there called the city slicker. It seems like we had bbq served there one time. Charlies bbg or something, its been a few years.

While Nashville being the biggest area and best known is a disaster, there are many other areas that are totaled. Clarksville was deemed a disaster area as of today.

Scott, I haven't heard anything about JOB's and water. I have walked into once and it looked like a dream to me by far the biggest Hall I have ever been in.

Sorry to hear it. My neighborhood in St Louis flooded in '93. We sandbagged but it didn't do any good. It's a helpless feeling.

Hey Ron its TJ.............yes the will still play keno at classic but there is a place up the road on new providence blvd that everyone plays at now asa far a keno goes.......it did get up to the ball return on the smart tables in the classic cue though!! very very sad........thats a 40,000 dollar smack in the face!

color me stupid I have no idea what Keno is. I have an aerial view of the cue with the water up. I went to the night deposit today for a few games while out there. Some guys in there said Wayne says he has no idea what to do the water got high enough to get into the tables I guess. I got a feeling leagues will not start back on time especially at the Cue

Nashville was home for 7 yrs

and loved it the whole time. Worked at Whirlpool in Lavernge, lived in Symrna just south of town. Sorry to hear about flooding in the area. Spent many 4th of July's on River Front Park. Hard to imagine how this is disrupting the players and businesses. Hope the pool rooms come back from this soon. In our thoughts and prayers.
