Yep, that's what I used my 1970 GMC P.U. for the last three years. It's one of the primo trucks in all of Southern Cal and I get admiring looks wherever I go. The engine is a very warmed over 350 Chevy - cam, lifters, headers, hi-rise manifold, four barrel, etc. Over 450 HP at your disposal! Yes, it screams! The bad news is that you will be getting 10-12 mpg highway or city. And you should be using 89 or 91 octane fuel (I mix them up). Don't worry, there is an over-sized radiator and it never overheats.

The body is straight and the paint is good, with several minor scrapes and scratches. The interior is CHERRY and all gauges, lights, radio (after market) etc. work properly. The heater is not hooked up. Four speed automatic with power steering and brakes. Rides solid as a rock and will tow anything you hook to it. I've personally carried three Gold Crowns (one in the bed and two in a trailer) from Vegas to L.A. and it ran smooth as could be, with no fuss or strain. The drive train is perfect, less than 10,000 miles on the motor. It doesn't leak a drop of oil and you can't feel it shift! It's that smooth.

And even with a pool table in the bed it sits dead level. That's because it has a heavy duty suspension and extra beefy wheels and tires. Easy to steer and a pleasure to drive. I hate to see this bad dude go, but the time has come to move on and I'm no longer in the used pool table biz. It won't come cheap though. Over four grand in the motor and 2.5K in the suspension and wheels/tires. Nothing but the best in this truck. I have clear title and there is no smog required.

If you have ten grand to spare and you want the baddest ass truck in the neighborhood, contact me for photos. I'd post them on here, but I don't know how to manage them. If someone wants to volunteer to post them, PM me your e-mail address. jayhelfert@yahoo.com

This truck would be great for someone in the business, just paint your name on the door. Oh, one other thing, it has dual 20 gallon gas tanks, one on each side. Forty gallons, 400 miles!

I can testify that the truck can haul. Jay zipped right up to my place with a Gold Crown in the back with no problem at all - and there are some very steep hills. Mountain goats work up a sweat and have to stop twice and rest trying to get up my driveway.

Wow..!! Really nice Jay. Someone will take this off your hands quick me thinks.....

You are a shrewd one, Jay...
Nice truck... errr, uhhhh, pool & billiards materials delivery mechanism.;)

I'm only gonna bump this one once. I don't mind keeping my truck if no one else really wants it.

I will throw in a choice of cues, all valued at around $1000 each to anyone who buys it. I've got about five or six cues to chose from. The 10K price is not negotiable though.

nice ride

This is a beautiful truck in super shape. I would be interested if I had the 10k to spend. You need to list this on another venue. It is well worth what you are asking if you are asking the right set of buyers. You do not see these trucks in this nice condition often. I would take it to one of the many car shows out there on the west coast and put a for sale sign in the front window...should not take long to move it.
