There are quite a few us that can really chow down . I've heard stories of road players coming to town and cleaning out buffets!

I heard that Grady Mathews could really put it away, but i can't vouch for that one myself . I know pool players are big eaters and this thread is dedicated to the best of the best ...

Some of the biggest eaters are probably obvious by looking at them.

If there was a category for biggest drinker I would put Keith in the running. I would be disappointed to see him playing without a brew near by. Would like to see him back in action. There aren't very many colorful players left.

Kid of a strange topic, but I've been known to put away some groceries. I'm not much of a pool player, though.

I sometimes like to bring up things that we talk about in the pool rooms ya know . I'm hoping to get a guy on here to relay the story of how he took so&so on the road, and so&so ate up half of his bank roll . half a dozen eggs, 5 strips of bacon, 4 waffles, 3 biscuits and gravy etc .

We've all heard those colorful stories

Fats said he could out eat any man alive.......but he also said he never lost a pool match in his life, and I have a couple of his losses on tape from ESPN's "Legends of Pocket Billiards" broadcasts.

I have ate with Grady a few times over the years-vegas in the earily 90's and last year at the Derby, nothing unusual, however I heard he could eat alot. Fats could to I heard, never met him. As for myself-no chance I dont eat much I gain weight easily and get full easy anyways. I have known some monster eaters none of whom are in pool.

Harry Platis boasted wiping out an entire platter of bread pudding in Fusco's room once...gotta feed the stroke. That was a fun story to hear.

Chow Hounds

I,ve watched both Fats and Greg Stevens in action, they were both awsome. Fats had table manners. Greg was an animal, after he began to eat he never said a word, if you spoke to him he only grunted. He told me he and fats were living together in Blythville Arkansas, were broke and fat bit up some money and they spent it all on chickens, fried them and ate them all, about 25 of them. Greg was barred from all the boarding houses around Houston. He bought a bucket of chicken across from the astrodome and as we walked up to the ticket booth he finished it. Fat told the lady serving at Alfreds Deli buffet he wanted turkey, she asked white or dark meat ? "he said gimme da boird." he had already been through the line and filled a plate with vegatables and dressing.

kid delicious, bar none. now im a big guy myself. i say this because this is a sticky situation responding publicly like this.
but a few years back i was in vegas and had a room at the hilton across the street from the rivy. at the bottom of the elevator was a real nice buffet. me and two buddies went down for breakfast at around 9am. after a little while danny strolls in. we talked for a minute and he sat down. we all decided to go across the street and wake up tony chohan, danny stayed behind. couple of hours later i went back to the hilton to grab my cues........ danny's still there! i didnt go over there and i don't know how long he stayed there. but he was still eating when i got on the elevator. when i first met danny in like maybe 1999 he was quite a bit smaller than me. in vegas he was quite a bit larger than me. i have battled my weight my whole life, so in no way am i disrespecting danny here. but the boy could eat!!

We put the Miz up in a hotel in Dallas for one of our events at CJ's. When the waitress asked him what he wanted for breakfast.......he said....bring me the page....pointing at the menu. She thought he was joking. He repeated himself with authority, and soon after the entire table was covered with food. Lets just say, he had a feast.

The Miz all the way He got as big as a Gold Crown y. When he owned his pool room in Metuchen NJ acroos the street was a great diner. The Miz was the No. 1 customer. He was a legend with a knife anf fork. He got as big as a billiard table I bet he was a great cook too.

A few year back I could apply for that title, as me and my friend use to do some Scuba Diving I worked part time in a place called Aloaha Dive Shop in Burbank California. One day group decided to go check out the NEW Swedish Smorgasboard that had open across fron the Dive Shop. When I went up to pay the bill for the five or six in the group, that lady who was cashier ask if everything was O.K. I replied yes and sad soon, she replied hope not too soon smiling, saying she had never had a group of customers eat so much.

I can testify to that. I bought him dinner in Orlando. He inhaled it. He was half done before the rest of us got our napkins unfolded AND he was talking the whole time. :D

If the food is good, I will eat enough to feed a village of obeist people. When I was in my mid teens I would eat 2 big mac's super size fry and a super size coke for lunch and go right back to work in construction with no problem. My metabolism has slowed some so I try and watch what I eat and don't look like I could eat much. I promise I have a gear that is champion speed.
