Possible Logo's

Hey Guys,

I have been lucky enough to have a freind who is a graphical designer help me with developing a logo for my cues. He has sent back a couple of proofs and I wanted to throw these out there to get some opinions.

The original concept was to use the O in my last name and the image of "cross hairs" from the scope of a rifle. The second image is just an alternative that he developed without any input from me.

I am not married to either image. So, please do not hold any punches about what you really think. One concern that I have is the use of the red dot. I know Leonard Bludworth uses a red dot only. I am not sure if incorporating that into my logo comes too close to his designation or not.

I would also like the cuemakers to judge it based on practicallity and ease of engraving it into the butt of the cue.

As a final side note, the cue in the picture is not one I built. My friend just grabbed the image to mock up this proof. If it is your cue, please do not be offended. I will not be using it in the final product.

However, I think you should have used one of your own cues to show in your images. Those sure look like the images of a pretty well known production cue that is easily identified.

between those 2 I would go with 1st but,1st O with CC inside would look cool

Gee Royce, you can say Predator. We say OB all the time and no one's turned to a pillar of salt yet, Lol. :wink:

The pic of the cue that Royce is referring to is actually a Predator Quiet Roller so you can understand his concern for 'political correctness'.

I like the second, but doesn't anyone remember Bludworth's red dot logo.
Maybe I'm dating myself.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the color of the dot.
If you are, you can change the color or call it crimson instead.
Let Meucci & Blud haggle it out over who owns the 'rights' to a red dot.

Using an OB cue for the second go-round seems only fair.
In politics it's known as 'equal air time'.

I'm not a graphic artist, but...

I like the idea of the crosshairs.
Also liked the idea of hte intertwined c's.
Could form a stylized crosshair of the letters?

Personally, I like the first one. The crosshairs are nice, but if you do them on a black background, you'll have to do them, and your 'O',in white so that they show up. Notice in the picture that they are missing. In the second option, without the crosshairs and off-center in the 'O', the red dot has no meaning.

Hi,

I like # 2 logo for what it is worth. Both are very good and will add to your branding.

The cross hairs remind me of Stealth Cues.

Crosshairs remind me of Sarah Palin.

If the second logo used a round O, it would look like a cue ball being struck just above center, which might also be nice looking.
