I thoroughly enjoyed the thread regarding the best cuemaker of all time and his son Barry! In my mind, there is nothing better than a Szamboti.

Please post pictures of your Szamboti cue(s).

That is all.

Matt

My Gus is posted in another thread as well but I too would like to see them all together. When I return home next year I will take better pics.

Here is my Gus.

thanks john,

i have many cues that are much more expensive but this is my favorite because of the way i got it ...

i had been in communication with barry for a while ( due to the gus i was in the process of buying ) and one day i was sitting in a bar with some friends and the phone rings and it was barry ...

it was a truly unique conversation and it's end result was this particular cue ...

essentially, this is what he would do if he were making a cue for himself so i guess you guys have the same taste in cues

That's great. Good for you buddy and thanks for sharing!!!

Now let's see some more Szamboti cues!!!

John

Beautiful photographs! The BEM in those cues glistens like fine Stadivarius violins.....

I "will" have a Szamboti cue (Gus, Barry, or Jimmy) someday!

Please keep them coming.

Eric,

In case you want me to, I can post a few pics for you here just let me know, as always. I also sent you an e-mail the other day...

Steve and Cueaddicts,
Superb pictures, those Barrys are great!

I wish this thread would be like some others with the snowball getting to roll...

I have a plain 4 pt gus and ithits fantastic. It gets played with and has the nicks and dings to show it. I break with it sometimes when im too lazy to bust out my break cue. I even sandpaper my shafts on occasion

I probably should get the award for most abusive gus owner on az.

heres proof not all szambotis get put up in storage:

Those Barry's look familiar on the bottom table pic, I wonder where they are now? :)

The GSB at the top I played with for about 45 minutes back in 91??? I opened it up from when Barry wrapped it up, I was the first player to ever hit a ball with it, unless Barry tested it. I could have bought it for around $6500. I would have used it as a player cue, But I didn't pull the trigger :( . It has a great home these days.
