This looks like the bk2 with some different paint and a new grip on the predator site. Are there any other differences in this and the Bk2 they were making a year ago?

Yea, price. Another gimmick people will buy believing it improves their game.

I think the only diff. is the grip but im not 100% sure of that.
This is from the Predator site.

Those new rubber grips are the shiznit for break cues. im happy pred decided to use it on the bk2. makes me want one.

Looks like a wrap option just like offering an elephant ear wrap for more money, except this might actually help the performance of the cue.

POISON v2.9 JUMP/BREAK

hey mark go check out this cue, it's actually made by Predator, and better than the BK2 it's a jump/break. They've got a couple of them over at Bottom English. I checked them out the other day and they look pretty sweet to me. I'm gonna get one when I get some extra dough. Later

Couldn't you just use one of those slip-on rubber wraps the 3-cushion billiards players use? Or go with Earl Stickland and just buy a cheap tennis overwrap? (Hmm, I've got some of those handy, I may have to try one on my wrapless BK)

I'm sure right out of the box, the grip is super tacky.

I wonder if the rubber grip is easily replaceable like a golf grip?

For me, even the best golf grips where never quite the same even after a few days as they were brand new. I usually replaced mine at least once a year, sometimes more. Not so much because they were ruined but because I just wanted to keep things consitent.

If you have really dry hands, I can see some people liking this. But with the golf grips, for me, it was the oils in the sweat that fouled them up over time.

Interesting idea and something that has been talked about a few times here on AZ! :D

Good point. Traditional tube cases would be a problem but a suitcase-style case lkike a Longoni would probably be OK. Also hopefully a Justis Lite will be fine too :)

yeah, i have a carom cue that has a slip on rubber grip and you can't get it in and out of tube cases, you have to use a box style case. when they put the rubber grip in a wrap channel it's OK

Did a brief post on Predator's new line of cues,
including the BK2 Sports break cue.

Could be an interesting read, buddy.
Much thanks for looking!

I find that the regular BK2 Breaks very very well and jumps well too for a full cue!

Not really too certain on this cue with the golf grip :P
