Predator P3

I was wondering what you were talking about until I went to the predator website, Wow...... just wow. I almost have to wonder if it follows the lines of the old hustler move of walking into a pool room with a cue that looks like a total piece of shit to try and generate more action. If it is it passed with flying colors

Lucasi also has that high-tech look now. It's very strange - I'm beginning to see this "modern" style pop up everywhere but I have yet to see anyone actually using one.

Yeah, a buddy of mine has the Lucasi Hybrid. I played with it once, wasn't anything special and it felt like I was holding a golf club the whole time from that wierd ass wrap they have

Saw that the other day on Billiard Warehouse, you won't see me with one of THOSE either...Hybrid...POOL AND GOLF.....come on!.........ugh!

This sure looks like another googan tool.
IF anyone thinks this will hit better than a cutdown purpleheart house cue with a 314 shaft, have fun.

have fun :)

That sounds hilarious! I'm not used to say this but: LMAO :D

I got to take a look at the new Predator stuff, but unfortunately didn't get a chance to hit with the P3. Predator is all over the "sport" look that came out last year with the Lucasi Hybrids. They threw the rubber sport wrap on their breaker, have a new line of sport cases, you get the idea. I was a bit underwhelmed with the look of the P3. It doesn't look anything like a pool cue, which really bugs me for some reason. Call me old fashioned, but I'd prefer my pool cue to not look like a carbon rod.

The new Ikon series is pretty hit and miss. There are a couple of nice ones, I saw at least one that looked quite a bit like a Mezz cue, but the problem is the price. MSRP is something like $1400 for the top of the line Ikon, which seems insane. Granted I'm just a banger, but for that kind of scratch, there are a lot of other directions to go.

Oh, I also saw a very slick Lucasi jumper over at the Cue & Case booth that looks pretty good. I tried it out and was able to jump decently enough, which is saying something since I can't jump well at all. Overall though, there's really not much in the way of exciting new gear here.

Well Predators haven't let me down yet! I will be getting a P3 without the wrap as soon as their available. I missed my opportunity to get the SE-15 last year, and at $800.00 I think it will be a bargin compared to $1300.00 for an SE. So we shall see, and I'll definately put out a report.

Are you going to get the Z2 or the 314-2? Looking forward to the report.
