Predator Pool Table?

What happens to this so called TOUR if one day Predator wakes up and decides this new venture they're pursuing just isn't financially worthwhile because they can't sell enough products to sustain it, and decides to pull the plug on it, then what happens???

Overheard they have a big tournament this weekend, Fedor is in town.
Fedor has been tearing errrrybody up and taking their $$$ !!!!

He is a great player and has a solid future in our pool industry & in other countries. Cuetec is one of his sponsors and I realize now I forgot: THEY ALSO have a tour too! https://dfw9bt.com/

He understands free market capitalism and is part of the growth our industry needs. Filler too. They both are amazing players that are from other countries and are contributing to our industry. Adding new players and companies = GROWTH.

I been in this business 10 years now. I have never seen any company do what Predator is now currently and that is PROOF of growth. I have said it before: our industry needs change and investment. Stale business models = NO GROWTH OR CHANGE.

TFT

At least they HAVE a tour to sponsor.
This is the fact of the matter that no arguing, hating or crying will change.

Predator is not the monster company many of you would like to believe it is, they have 22 employees, they don't make or build anything, they buy low and sell high, driven by the economys spending abilities. If their products don't sell, they feel the same effects all other businesses feel, lower income, or loss of revenue, no different than any other business, keep that in mind!

And they face the SAME problems all the rest of the table, ball, and cloth manufacturers are facing today when it comes to shipping, available, and labor costs, don't believe otherwise!!!

Yes. l took the pic the same day posted. A few more tables had been completed the next day.

Overheard they have a big tournament this weekend, Fedor is in town.
I wish I hadn't taken the day off AZB when you posted. I want to see if the shadow under my rails is my dark green cloth or my light or if a lighter color cloth would fix the problem. It's kind of hard to see the edges of the balls when they are against the rail.

I heard that, too. That's pretty cool that Fedor is in town, at least if you didn't draw him in the bracket.

Goin back next week. Know who to ask. Will let you know if I manage to get a couple pieces of the old cloth.

I hear ya. Lol. At 60+ my eyes really appreciate quality lighting, like the led arrays at HT.

So now flash forward to today, and what everyone currently knows about the Predator 9ft pool tables, what would you say about that design engineering team now?

When was the last time you've EVER heard so many complaints about a new pool table, bragged about like it was the next coming of Christ or something, going to strike fear into all the other table manufacturers, Diamond in particular in your case!!
I called it before the tables even hit US land, pieces of shit, and nothing but problems!!! I dare ANYONE to defend them after the tournament failers they've promoted!!!]
There was an hour long interview posted with Karim, CEO of Predator, and Ozzy, CEO of CSI. It was really eye opening, imo. Karim basically said the tables are not even close to be ready for sale yet, and they have been working out the kinks and battle testing them on the professional events. He said that's all part of the RD process. The last event, I believe he said was in Germany, didn't have table issues (according too him). Its a good interview, well worth watching, IMO.

He also mentions the engineers and designers at SAM, how he visited with them many times, worked on the table designs together, etc. Its definitely not a simple rebranding.

Also of note, zero money is exchanging hands between CSI and Predator (in either direction), for the use of all of these tables, including for the bar table events coming up.

Watch the interview. Karim is in it for the LONG HAUL.

Nice post! I think Karim's vision of what pool could and should be is clearly better than what we have now: no pro tour and no growth as an industry. Professional Pool players have nothing in the USA to look forward to, other than what Predator is doing. Diamond host's one tournament A YEAR and Brunswick does NONE. The industry will dictate who comes and goes, IMO Predator is here to stay. They have budgets and VISION. The tables obviously are just getting moving, they are surely still doing R & D and what better way: test them on their own tour. It makes perfect business sense and what a way to market the table and their brand.

P.S. I am not selling this product, zero $$$ for me. All of my posts are my from my perspective as a pool player, business man and supporter of our industry.

Everyone is, until they're not!

They have the $$$ and WORLD RECOGNITION OF THEIR BRAND to change the future of the sport in our country.

Haters and doubters get left in the dust.....

You see this Diamond 9ft, 3 piece 30mm slate, flipped up on my cart? I moved the table out of the customers house, put it in a trailer, hauled it to the building its going in. Rolled it off the trailer, into the building, flipped it down, leveled it, and it was perfect! No slate seams come apart, no crowned slates, no issues whatsoever, you know why? Because I know what the hell I'm doing, so I don't need no R&D excuse for the table not turning out perfect. All that's left to be done is bolt back on the rail skirts, job done!!!

You all are to easily impressed with Predator and their TEAM of engineers!!!!!

What their TEAM of engineers is trying to figure out with R & D, is childs play for me, don't need no damn team of so called experts, because I KNOW what I'm doing, while they're still trying to figure out how to make a pool table, let alone one that can be flipped up on its side and moved!!!

I didn't realize you could move the Professional that way. I thought it was only the Pro-Am that could be moved like that.

This was classic TRUTH :)

Some people think this is about what they do, Brunswick or Diamond does. It is really not. This is about growth in the industry. I remember someone who is Banned for life, talkin about how they work with Brunswick, how great their rails play and this & that: it means nothing for growth in our industry. Moving pool tables is a small part of the game, who cares about that? Promoting the sport in positive light is REAL. Making a real PAYOUT Tour that employs PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS is REAL. None of the "working model" of how pool operates is ever going to make growth. Out with the old and in with the new!!

TFT

p.s. the guys that truck around NASCAR CARS and gear are a part of logistics, necessary of course, but, not the core of the sport.

And that right there is proof the 3 piece slate 9fts can be flipped up on carts and rolled into anywhere, flipped down again and leg leveled WITHOUT coming apart, IF the table is designed RIGHT in the first place!!!

Predator, fire your design engineers!

God is always above even 1000 engineers;)
