Predator Pool Table?

Predator has a top notch track record, for both product design, and industry support, going back to about 1994. Of course that's not an indication of the future, but it sure means they are not a fly by night company.
World of difference between cues and pool tables, how long have they been involved with pool tables?

100% SAM has been in business making tables for 30 years now. Just because they have not made a huge impact on our market, does not mean their product is bad. Could it use improvement? Predator knows pool and its name is known for Quality! I can't wait to play on both sizes and see for myself. :)

Aramith supported Predator by making the Predator balls. Simonis was the official cloth of the Predator tournaments. Diamond never failed to supply pool tables for any and all Predator events.

Then, Predator wakes up one day, and decides to kick all those who've supported them to the curb, by making their own balls, cloth, and pool tables, burning all those bridges. Why? Does this sport need more ball, cloth, and table manufacturers to make it successful, or does Predator feel they'll make more MONEY if they kick everyone to the curb?

Predator is in BUSINESS. SAM has been in business a long time and now going to experience GROWTH because of their deal with Predator. Aramith does not care about anything other than money= Predator's Branding allows Aramith to expand their product line and that means more balls made. Who ever is making Predator Cloth is in BUSINESS and is now likely selling more cloth because of Predators Brand. Predator makes amazing cues and all of this is EXPANDING THEIR BUSINESS IN THE CUE MARKET. All of this seems like GOOD BUSINESS. The market will dictate who comes and goes. Our industry has been handicapped by most of the people who run pool in the USA. It is time for growth and good BUSINESS. Tours are great for Professional pool players and is good BUSINESS. People who know nothing about investing, growth or business should stand aside and watch what is already happening :)

When did this happen? As far as I know, Aramith is still making the Arcos II balls.

History of the Predator Arcos Pool Balls:
Arcos I: Manufactured by Cosmos out of South Korea. Cosmos makes their own line of balls and does/did private label for Predator and Olhausen. To my knowledge, these were never offered for sale to the public and I'd say less than 50-100 sets exist.

Arcos II: Cosmos made the first prototypes but Predator landed on Cyclop to make them until the manufacturer of Cyclop decided to fold the brand and create Dynaspheres. Predator decided to go with Aramith. I'm sure Aramith was the last choice because they probably wanted a larger slice of the pie than the Asian manufacturers.

Dynasphere balls were created by Loontjens(now GDM Sports) in Europe. They wanted a ball line to compete with Aramith. They approached XingBing(actual maker of the balls) about being their technical partner/maker.

I guess they felt you didn't have a need to know, so they didn't inform you, my bad😆

HOW DARE THEY PARTNER WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!! totally joking of course!!! New brands are good for growth.

Predator is stimulating the Pool Industry and creating new products & supporting Pro Players with a TOUR.

Starting a ball co. from scratch would have been stupidly expensive. Going in with an established maker was smart. Predator is doing same thing with the tables. Big difference is balls require no set-up and those SAM tables have always been a colossal pia to get right. IMO they were never designed to be taken apart/moved/re-set with the frequency that tournament play requires. Diamond's are FAR better in this regard.

True, they have had a lot of practice, SAM could and should start making their 9ft , similar to their 7ft and it would be much easier. I like that Predator is doin LIVE r & d. It makes better $$$ sense than building a bunch of inventory and then discovering bad things. Iron it out first and then mass produce. For smaller events: IMO none of this is a huge deal, the tour is doin a couple dozen tables at the most. Not 300 like the BCA event next year. Plenty of good stuff going on with what they are doing and plenty of time to get their mode of operation sorted! :)

I have to laugh at the so called "brains" here on AZB in the mechanic's forum. Creating a new pool table, new cloth, and new balls does not equate to more money for this industry! What it creates is a redistribution of wealth in this industry. Its by no means a measurement as to how this industry is improving, it's just trading hands with the sales money, that's all. There's only so much demand for pool tables, cloth, and balls annually.

A NEW product, now that’s a different story. Forget about the Predator cloth making its way into the commercial bar table market, same thing with the balls, not happening. Good luck with the Predator bar tables too.

I think it's a good thing that everyone manufacturering the high end, expensive cloths today are pricing it so high, because all that does is open the door to me to sell and install the new Strachan Superweave, as the most affordable bar table cloth on the market today. Its amazing that a cheap cloth can look so much better in 6 months time than ANY of the high price brands available today!

Me too.
Take a predator branded table that the pro players dislike and the wizards of AZB will continue to hawk how
great the table will be once the kinks are ironed out. Like every player should wait, lol.
Nothing new here - same ol bs from some num-nutz's that hang here to see themselves talk.

Ya think😅🤣😂 i wonder how many of the brains know that the 9ft Predator slate is only 3/4" thick😅🤣😂

That's the same thickness of 7ft Valley bar slate😅🤣🤣

Have you played on the Predator cloth that is made for the bar tables?

I have 2 Predator tables set up at our place, and at 10 a.m., they are usually the first ones people go to first.

I just delivered a Predator table last Friday for a guy that had a GC III in his converted garage, he was so excited he took half the G.C. apart to hurry the process. And in two weeks I'll be delivering one for a guy that was going to get a Diamond until playing on one of the Apex's at our place.

Nothing new, GC's get replaced all the time, but not the ones I rebuild😅🤣🤣
Wait until the hacks in this industry tear those Predator tables apart, like they do every other table, that's when you'll see the real truth about how the Predator tables hold up, based on who's willing to fix them up then!!!

I wouldn't use Predator cloth even if you paid me to use it, because the bottom line is, it's to damn expensive to use it on bar tables, and the Strachan Superweave weave is a much better bar table cloth, and Predator cloth couldn't touch the price of it even if I gave them a running g head start!! Expensive cloth don't make it better, it just means it costs more, that's all!!
