I'm curious what the players on here prefer.
Let's get real, nothing on here is important. It's just a matter of satisfying my curiosity. My preference is set at hard tips. I've tried them all, and that's what I like. Why is this important what others use? If it do work for you? Wonder when Mosconi was setting records gif he was a concerned with latest greatest tip?
I think it would be ok to vote medium, then? I just wonder what people are currently using.Didn't vote because to me tips are VERY cue-dependent. On a soft hitting cue i use harder tips. On a real stiff hard hitter i might go to a soft. Usually use Ultraskin med's on just about everything lately.
I voted med. But if i use a different cue tomorrow i'll have to change it.Let's get real, nothing on here is important. It's just a matter of satisfying my curiosity. My preference is set at hard tips. I've tried them all, and that's what I like.
I allowed for it in the poll, change it as much as you want.I voted med. But if i use a different cue tomorrow i'll have to change it.![]()
That seems backwards. Most go down on softness on a CF shaft not up.Voted for Med - I only play with G2 tips - Med on CF, Soft on wooden shafts.
nope... soft on CF feel mushy to meThat seems backwards. Most go down on softness on a CF shaft not up.
Finally an interesting tip thread... Thank you.I'm curious what the players on here prefer.
I like the g2 tips too, I use the hard ones and am playing 3c.G2 soft for years
A year ago I bought a Viking Seige which came with a Kamui (I think soft or super soft). It was so different from anything else I had played with the tip was the least of my concerns. Everything worked out fine and after a month or so of play it all felt great. The tip lasted through the summer and in the fall I was preparing for a tip change. As an experiment I installed an Elk Master which I had zero experience with. Long story short the install was hairy but the results where expectable. The hit and sound changed significantly but required no adjustment on my part for throw/squirt. Sound and feedback where softer than the Kamui. The Elk required constant shaping and burnishing which I was fine with, however the result was the tip only lasted about 3 months. When the Elk was reaching the end of it's life it had finally compressed and I wasn't constantly fiddling with it.Didn't vote because to me tips are VERY cue-dependent.
