*****Pricing Question on a Meucci Cue*****

Per the plant manager the right words are said, too soon to tell if that translates into improved performance esp., across the board increased, consistent quality

imo we'll be able to evaluate results in 6 to 12 months
The problem is for those of us in the know if you order a cue will you get an old stock cue or the new and hopefully improved cue?
Billy Bar Banger won't care "Gonna get me one them there Moochies"

Good point

Bob understood "first in, first out" whether or not it's still part of the conversation is hard to say

Finished goods inventories were kept at low levels which resulted in high inventory turnover to minimize inventory carrying cost before they moved to Sledge, Ms,. don't know what they do now.

If anyone is using a blue book of cues for pricing reference, I have a bridge for sale at a discounted price.

Just saying
This was even true the day each edition was written. The 3 books were great for nice color pictures of high end cues, but that’s about it. Especially the first edition in 1996 when the WWW was very new.

The real early ones I liked, the others, bleh. A friend ordered a new one for 1000.00 in the late 70s or early 80s, it looked pretty, but it was one of the worst cues I ever picked up.

I got a great deal on an early eighties moochie. Hardest thing I ever learned to play with not excluding a mop handle! It played just fine after about six months but people had many a laugh at my expense when I slung that moochie in a corner midmatch and grabbed something off the wall. My opponents were rarely left laughing though.

The only advantage of that moochie over a cue I could pick up for twelve bucks was that it was easier to tote.

What does it list for the road runner? I sold one to the author of the blue book in the mid 2000's for $2000. I vaguely recall the blue book might have had a 4k price on it. It was owned by Pete Sinkler, the player out of PA with the wooden leg and the poster "must keep one foot on the floor".
It sold for $600 new / 3rd edition Blue book has it at 98% = $5000

I just looked on Amazon to see what a Blue Book would cost... $350, for a USED ONE. WTF ??
'Script logo' Meucci's do not hold value well unless its a diehard Meucci-ite buying it. I've seen some pretty 'loaded' post '90 cues go for not a whole lot.

Not sure why you would have quoted me on that, my post had nothing to do with Meucci but simply that the Blue Book referenced in this thread, the BOOK, was $350...
