Production Break Cues

Who makes a good production break cue? I'm looking to buy a good one but have always used to a cheap cue to just break with (my break is horrible, so time to try something new). What are some of the best break cues for the price?

I'm using an old Cobra that bends like a banana with a medium tip. I'm looking at production types because money is an issue here. Thanks!

Predator BK2 (almost anywhere - 300)
Stinger (seyberts - 340)
Gulyassy (baybysproshop.com - 450)
X-breaker
Mezz Power Break (jjcue.com 200-300)
Fury (seyberts - 150)
Lightning Bolt (platinumbilliards.com - 180)
J&J (jjcue.com 75-150)

prices are generally estimates and the list goes on and on

I've gone through 3 phenolic tip break cues, and none of them break as well as my Joss Zorro Cue. i keep the phenolic cue just for jumping!

Thanks!! Have you hit with any of these? I've been looking at the Predators but have never heard how they hit.

I don't think you would be dissapointed with the Predator BK2... I haven't ever met anyone that didn't like it

My Gulyassy hits awesome. I can jump and pound breaks easily. I sold my Predator BK once I hit this cue. Check my signature to see if it fits your eye.

Thats a great looking cue. I'm afraid it might be out of my range though:(

i like the mezz pb2

How much is the Mezz?

A Mezz PowerBreak with DeepImpact Shaft is also a good choice. Mezz really makes a solid break cue.

Is this the same cue poolplayer is talking about?

If you just want a cheap production cue....you'll be hard pressed to do any better than a $65 J&J.

I want a custom, but of course money is an issue. Thanks for your help, I'll check that out. Do they have a site?

I also seen Scorpion has a break cue, does anyone know if its any good?

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the cues mentioned so far.....I finally settled on a Schmelke, cocobolo, jump/break, with a Phenolic tip. ......It also jumps real, real good..The cocobolo wood and the finish is also real pretty...It's a sneaky pete.....Got it from www. billiardwarehouse.com $179.00...

If you can't find a store where they will let you try out the break cues, the vendors at a place like Derby City will certainly provide such opportunities. Cue satisfaction appears to be quite subjective.

I have heard good things about the Predator BK2 and would like to try one someday!

Does anyone have any recommendations on brands for a combo Break/Jump cue??? Do you guys like that concept??? I heard Predator doesnt make one currently tho.....

300 ish brand new. yes.if money is that big an issue (something over 70) than go with varney's suggestion. the mezz pn 1 is like 200 brand new there's one an az'r is selling here for 200 you might be able to talk him down some. pb2 is like 300 brand new, i like mine.

can't beat 70ish for a j&j though

If you can find a Stinger J/B that is in your price range, I would say get it in a hurry...

Mace by Rick Howard also breaks really good
