the first time I played with Corey was when all of the tables were full and he walked in. He walked up and asked us asked us if we would mind if he could shoot with us. He just wanted to log some practice time. He played two on one one pocket, winner stays nine ball and some straight pool. Very cool.

The University Of Akron is right in the middle of downtown,and has a pretty nice room too. The next time I am up that way,I'll get my aunt that runs the Geography Dept to look around and see if he is in town. I'm still waiting on a chance to see him shoot that frozen off the rail draw shot. It sounds like Al-Fahr has got a pretty cool crew he runs with,and used to live up there too. Tommy D.

Do you know why Corey is doing this? I think I read it somewhere that he's doing this for free....
I'm sure the Akron kids would really love to have him there...I've played with quite a few of their players during a recent invitational and some of them are pretty decent.
Man, I sure wish some pro / coach would come and do this at urbana champaign!
I can't speak about Corey Deuel because I've never met him, but I can speak about the Akron pool club because I've played against them in a tournament. I'll just say this, if Corey is personable and not a cocky jerk he won't fit in with most of them. There were a couple of guys that were pretty nice though, but most of them acted like they were God's gift to the green felt.

With Corey moving up here I saw that he was by himself a lot until most of his friends got off work. I sugested that he help teach the pool class with my friend Tony Brown at the University of Akron durning the day. He told me that he thought that might be fun since he know's Tony as well. I called up Tony and asked if Corey could come in and help teach the pool classes when he was in town. Tony said that Corey and I are welcome to help out when ever we want. Corey will be doing this for free but the University might be giving him a pass to work out in there gym. When school starts up around Jan. 17 we will also be meeting with Kent State for him to do the same since he is walking distance from the campus.
