A big shout out to Scott and the guys at Proficient. Absolutely no better place to have your cue worked on. I bought an old beat up Heubler for $100 a few weeks ago, just for nostalgia's sake. The shafts were pretty clean and straight and just needed a quick rubdown to be good. The butt was another story, with wrap that was unraveling and a seriously messed up finish that looked horrible.

I sent it out to Proficient and got it back in less than two weeks! Pretty quick turnaround imo. I'm sorry I didn't take 'before' pics because it was B A D! They completely restored it to it's original look. Paul would be proud. Total cost was $140! Thanks guys!

That's cool. Looks nice. With all the *****ing lately it's nice to hear a good story every once in awhile.

Very nice cue Jay. I have had Scott work on quit a few cues through the years, he does top quality work and gets things done in a very timely manner.

Scott has refinished cues for me as well. He is incredible in quality and turn-around time. If he ever decides to not do this anymore, the cue world will be missing a lot.

Scot does some really fine work. He did a great refinish on my old palmer and was able to save the original wrap. Then a few years later, I got a Jon Spitz cue through AZB that needed a refinish. Needless to say, that one came out great also.

I haven't used it yet, but he also offers an escrow service at a reasonable price.

I play with an old Huebler and love it. My old Joss is still my favorite, but the Huebler is awesome, especially with original matching ring Huebler 31 inch shafts! I have a 29 inch as well.



Incorrect bumper. I don't know about you, but that would bug me.

Poolcrazy here on the forum (Terry) has the originals. :smile:

I got one from him, as well as original Huebler joint protectors for my extra shafts.

Scott refinished my Schon roughly ten years ago. He said two weeks. He called and told me he wasn't happy with the finish. Told him to ship it when HE was satisfied. The cue still looks better than new after all these years. Even Evan Clarke, who created my cue twenty four years ago, could not believe the depth and clarity of the finish. Very highly recommended.

Had 2 cues refinished and really like the results and timely fashion of the return. However those triangle shipping boxes make me nervous. Should use a rigid tube.

Just had a shaft reconditioned by friend Jude Hammond of Shaftmaster in California. Fed Ex charged me a $10 FEE for using a reinforced tube to ship outbound. The return trip by UPS was fee-less. So much for using Fed Ex!

I shipped a cue in a tube (from Seyberts)...asked Scott to please re-use the tube. I got the cue back in the USPS triangle cardboard triangle.
Lately I ship UPS located at Staples... The rates are not bad.
 
I've yet to have anything done by Scot and crew {I'm close, though} but have heard nothing but good about them.

I have had work done by Scot several times and it has always been perfect and fast turn around time also.
 
I sent him a higher end cue earlier this year for a refinish. Outstanding work, great service, fast turn around.
 
Keep hearing good things about this guy. Will be sending some work his way soon, I think.
