Proper etiquette?

When I see a cue I like and I request more info, if I'm no longer interested, or not very interested, should I reply to the PM or just drop it to avoid wasting the seller's time? I'm not trying to play games and haggle or hope for a counter offer, I just have a good idea of what I want to try next. Do I say thanks but not right for me at this time, or just fade away quietly? Thanks to all who reply.

Damn. I thought you had some proper etiquette for sale :(

Anyway. Yes, communication is key. If you want it, PM. If you don't want it PM. Keeps the seller from guessing who wants it and who doesn't.
 
i would say proper etiquitte would be for the sellers to actually post specs, asking prices and pictures in the for sale post to begin with. but, if you find yourself having to request any of the aforementioned or additional information, a thank you and your intintions would be polite, but i wouldnt really say required.
 
I feel if the questions were in a post then you don't have to reply as this helps another buyer and also give a bump to that thread.

If you ask for more info in a PM then you should respond with a thank you or a offer thru a PM.

If you make a offer in a PM and it is rejected then that is the end of it unless you want to make another offer.
 
In all seriousness, etiquette should be second nature... What goes arond comes around. Let's not turn this thread into another post prices/pictures etc thread. There will still be some who do not post prices or pictures but give them time. Maybe they haven't got pictures yet or just wanted to get a quick ad out first or aren't newbies. I've always seen the lack of a price as a "cue I can't afford" deal haha

It is all related...the sellers should set themselves up for success, not for a bunch of questions.
