Proposed TAR - TOI VS NO AIMING SYSTEM

CJ is more than capable of running 29 balls into one pocket.

I hope no one is saying CJ didn't run those 29 balls -- gimme a break. The last DCC I went to was the last year they were at the Executive West. I believe they had a one pocket challenge where the high run was something like 54, which I believe was done by Gabe Owen. I know it was in the 50's -- may not be exactly 54. There were a bunch over 30, that's for sure.

CJ is more than capable of running 29 balls into one pocket. That's a super feat with any pocket size - it doesn't matter if it's 4.5 or 4" or 4.25 --- it's a great run. If he edited the video to cut out a pause between racks, big deal.... unless, of course, some of you are claiming he can't run 29 balls. I wouldn't bet he couldn't.

Yes, I could probably run 3 racks if I took a few hours.....and you'll notice that I quit after running the 29 in a row, so I probably would have run more, maybe even another rack or two, who knows?

Sorry to all the "haters," but I did run the 29 balls consecutively, you can believe otherwise, but you're flat out wrong if you do. We did stop and unplug the lights so I could plug in a stereo and I did move some balls around after the first 14 ball run....HOWEVER, I did not try anymore runs until the 2nd run you saw of 15 balls.....that's the Truth and you'll just have to believe or disbelieve that, it's certainly your choices.....you can have whatever opinion you choose, but you can't choose your own facts. the difference that makes the difference.

CJ is implying he is the only one who can do it? I am pretty sure Bartram could do it but I am also pretty sure he is the only who one posts in this thread who can do it. Also maybe he thought frequent posters on here which is how I would have interpreted it as well. If you want to include Earl as a poster on here, how many posts does he have and when was the last to be made. I am interested in that info for Shane as well.

Then simply let them do it if they can. Also have them explain how they are doing it like I did as they're running out - as in what english they're using or if they are indeed using TOI (THE TOUCH OF INSIDE). I'd like see the "apples to apples" as would all of you.

It's not that difficult for a true champion to do, but it is extremely difficult to talk while you're doing it.......that's the difference that makes the difference.

Hey CJ, I wasn't being a hater in my cord comment...just mentioned it was on the ground at one point and then plugged in later on in between the racks....I did not mention I didn't think you did it...29 is a cool # if you did it...I think I will try it at home even though I have a barbox so I am sure that changes things a bunch attempting this.

If you ever bothered to actually read what is said without your biases, you would know that the only problem I have with him is his totally inaccurate claims. Such as saying that he doesn't defy known physics, it's just that known physics haven't caught up to what he is cable of doing yet. I'm not going to go over what areas I have a problem with here. I've done that very clearly in the past. Take if for what it is. What you need to do is stop thinking that just because someone played great at one time, that everything they say is gospel and is not to be disputed. Any way you look at it, that just boils down to hero worship, and makes anything else you say very biased and makes you sound rather uninformed. You of all people on here should be able to see through his "marketing" for what it is. Not be swallowed up by it.

Lets say it is marketing. That would then make you a huge knocker, right?

I know, and you made a great observation......the fact is I needed that outlet for a stereo that we use for background music and it did effect the lighting on the second run because it's virtually impossible to set those lights up exactly the same way twice in a row.

I'm confident in knowing it was done (because I did it, no one else) - the thing is IT'S NOT WHAT I WAS TRYING TO DO....I was trying to just run the 15 and stop......it was a mistake of not spotting the ball that let to the consecutive runs. 'The Game Works in Mysterious Ways' ;)

If wanting people, ESPECIALLY the pros, to state facts, and not nonsense hyperbole and false claims, but actually try and be accurate in what they state, a knocker, then I will gladly be labeled one.;)

Did you look at the video? both balls are tight between the points. That makes the pocket 4 1/2".

Yet Greg Sullivan puts a pocket at 4 1/2" if the balls are in the mouth of the pocket and there is approx. 1/16" gap between the balls!

See his video in an earlier post.

It's real simple, just put the ruler between the points. I haven't seen Greg's video, and I don't know why he would measure a pocket at somewhere other than the standard spot, which is between the points of the pocket.

Allen is the one that showed me the "secret" to doing this consistently

I don't think any pro would bet he could run that many in 10 tries.

Allen Hopkins in his prime and Efren are the only ones I would bet on....Allen used to bet he could run one out of 5 and would bust the pool room if they tried to fade that bet.

Allen is the one that showed me the "secret" to doing this consistently.....and without this knowledge I would not be able to do it......so thanks Allen, I know you don't read this forum, but maybe someone will tell you I've given credit where credit is due.

Those guys post way more than I do.

Those prolific AZB posters Charlie Williams, SVB, Earl Strickland and Johnny Archer. It was a terrific point he raised.

Those guys post way more than I do.....and they measure pockets better as well, because when they say "a hair" it means exactly three eighths of an inch. ;)

So, when you say to hit the cb a "hair" from center for TOI, you really mean within 1/2". O.K., I understand now.

Not so fast there..... it's your table, go ahead and post a clip with the ruler between the points. This time though, put the "0" at one point, and then see where the other point is on the ruler.
