Pros who gamble...

There has been a huge discussion today, which leads me to this question.

Which champion level players don't gamble (or EVER gambled)? I've heard that about Ralf Souquet....are there any others or is he just the exception?

Thomas Engert does not gamble. Earl Strickland USED TO, but hasn't for a long time.
Tommy Kennedy and Mike Massey, two avowed Christians, don't gamble.

I would venture a guess here and speculate that a good 95% of pro players gamble at least occasionally. They have a learned skill that 99+% of others DON'T have and with so many people willing to mix it up with them (with varying handicaps / spots) it's basically easy pickings. Oh sure, they'll book an occasional loser, but so do Casinos with million $ profits.

It is rare to find a Filipino who doesn't gamble but Marvelous Marlon Manalo's one of them...

I've donated to him before. :rolleyes:
He matched up with Tony about two years ago giving some weight. He does gamble unless he recently stopped.

Corey Deuel DOESN'T gamble, is that what you're saying??? This is a joke, right?

And you don't have your pictures on Myspace either....water is not wet, Travis is a pro, etc.

Is this a thread about pros that gamble;or don't gamble..well anyway,here's my take on both..

Pros that gamble:Corey Deuel/Efren Reyes/Francisco Bustamante/Dennis Hatch/Alex Pagulayan/Dennis Orcullo/Buddy Hall...Damn!! this list would be too long- and I have'nt even scratched the surface yet.. I'll be here all night:( :(

Pros that don't gamble:Tommy Kennedy/Earl Strickland/Mark Tadd/Mike Massey/George Breedlove/Karen Corr/Dick Lane

Shortstops that gamble:Walt Frazier/Walt"Clyde"Frazier/Walt"The Locksmith"Frazier/Walt"Mr.Incognito"Frazier/Walt"Who Dat"Frazier.....I think you get the picture AZ:) :)

I have never been to Myspace and I have NO DESIRE to ever even peek at that site. I have never seen your pictures, other than the ones you have in your avator. I know you have pics there (Myspace) because I've read your posts.

Travis is the infamous "Travis Trotter", he of the Cuetec cue, "I'm a pro, etc posts. I personally like his posts, sort of like Bernie but with a twist. Here is the last thread (and there are many threads ) on Travis...

walt i can promise you that mark tadd and george breedlove both used to bet it up high in the 90's. tadd was one of the top 3 or 4 9ball players in the world for the cash.
