I played every night at the El Conquistador Resort. Expensive place to stay but Ikept it all friendly with the others staying at the Resort. I wouldask t play fo the breakfast room service for2. This way it wasn't a moneymatch just some fun and my opponent an his wife could have a fun time the next morning. Room service Breakfast for 2 would run at least $60.00 So play for that and then just tell them to just give you $50 an all are winners. I got thataction every night as much as Iwanted. The wiife didn't want me there all night but we we good fo $150 a night whilewe werethere an ithelped with the vacation.

Hanks pool/Denver

I would call Hank during the day (303) 424-1822 if Anyone knows He does. He's from there, his family is still there, and he visits at least every yr health permitting. Hank was a very good pool player, great guy and a bar pool room owner his Whole life in Denver. Wonderful man. He's owner of the Original Family Fun Center, Terry McFadden was the prior owner. Oldest pool room in Denver. Have fun.

El Conquistador is to far away from Salinas. I dont know much about pool around Salinas but you could go try the capital San Juan. If El Criollo is still open you will find some very good players.

Terraza Cedin (Cedin's Balcony) located at State Road 712, Km 4.2, Salinas, PR. Tel. 787-420-3953.

Conquistador is too far away from where you will be located.

El Criollo has closed it's doors for a couple of years now. It would also have been a little too far for you to get there if you have not been in PR before.

You could also contact Ray Yordan at 787-647-1158. He's a good contact person for 8 ball tournaments in Puerto Rico. Just let him know I gave your his phone numbers (it is not a problem) and that you want to play that weekend 8 ball or 9 ball. He'll steer you where to go.

Are you renting a car? Do you speak Spanish? You don't need to be fluent in Spanish, but it does help. My hubs got a long fine without it. There's basically 3 tiers of fluency in English there: none, some and 100% fluent English.

Salinas is straight south of San Juan. There are a few places out towards Caguas which is right in between Salinas and SJ. I got a hold of Ray Yordán 787-647-1158. He used to run the tournaments in El Conquistador, he also used to be the owner of Studio 22, but the pub closed down many years ago. Now Ray runs tourney's all over the island. The BCA tourneys (BCA rules) are open to anyone. We paid anywhere from $11 to $20 in entry fees. Cash prizes vary on attendance and range from $200 to $500 for first place. On average I saw about 40 players each night. The hubs and I ran through all of Ray's tourney's they Sunday 8ball, Monday 9ball and Wednesday 8ball. Regardless they were the nicest bunch of people.

They have a Facebook page for the league to post tourney info at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ljbpr/

Good luck!

Loren
