If there was a push out allowed with ball in hand -- BUT THERE'S NOT! -- there are cases where it could be useful. Suppose your opponent fouls on the break and you have ball in hand and a push out possibility. There is a cluster that you have no good way to get to. You call a push out, move the cluster apart and leave the cue ball behind a ball. Your opponent passes and you shoot a jump shot to the one and run out.arsenius said:...
