Q Masters altercation?

You need to read better. I never said he's a "marketing creation."

I haven't heard or seen C.J. in years -- UNTIL RECENTLY. Now he's the captain of Team USA. Do you think Matchroom would have chosen him last year when he was not on the pool scene?

I know who he is. You don't have to give me a pool history lesson. I probably know more about him than you do, FWIW.

I have seen CJ for the last few years at bigger events here and there. I am not talking about anything other how people get sponsors and benefits while they are an inferior product.

I am sure a lot of people know a lot more about certain pool players than I do, I would go as far as to say that a lot of people on here know a lot more about pool than I do, but Ill play them some.

I am not sure why you have an attitude towards what I wrote but I have spoke with CJ and I have actually gambled with him, so my opinion is based on facts that I have done not just seen or heard someone talk about.

You should have played him and I am not saying like for big money but for something like 100 a set.. cuz sometimes the best way is to let your stick do the talking while keeping your mouth shut.
Sponsors don't go around and check for a character certificate they only look for how much exposure they can get if they are putting money on you. Lee is well known, plays good and that's all it matters.

He asked me to play a set for 10K and I said flip it, I am not shy when it comes to getting it on.

I think a little celbrating after making a great; crazy, out of this world or even sloppy shot is GREAT! I think if you want this game to make a come back; we need a little excitement brought back into it. What is this with the you need to sit down n shut up attitude about it?? Its not going to the opera folks...... if i wasn't a player i would be bored as heck watching ..... i say winner gets to fist pump all he wants .... heck beat on your chest.... shouldn't effect the loser at all.... if he doesn't like it guess he can practice some so he can pump his fist next time.... me myself the love the crowd cheering... (love to see Earl get em pumped up) get em up dancing if they want while i play..... if you hate losing and want to fight after words.... guess jail time for you (I'm too old and wise to fight anymore) we need guys like Earl and Keith (please come back we need ya) that can get the croud behind em and get away from this boring stuffy crap. You wanna go to an opera... go to an opera....but hey no fights either... wanna duel it out take it to a table and throw the cash down... guess thats just my. 02

Yeah. That does beg the question!
I see you JAM being a little mean to the English folks on here. If you don't like them so much you should protest and not eat any Shepherds Pie or Yorkshire pudding and stew. I'll bet you don't do it :)
Oh I also know the whole story of what happened with Daz and Lee. I would be happy to tell you everything I know but you must first say you Like Mushy peas. Just say you like em :)

You're missing my point, but that's okay. I'm not in the mood to debate with you.

To be clear, C.J. has not been a "regular" tournament player in many years. He has not contributed any content to this forum until recently on a regular basis. His content is great, and I welcome it. He also has blogs and a really cool website, which he posts as a banner on this forum. Because of C.J.'s efforts -- RECENTLY -- not 10 years ago, not when he was your best player in the world -- but recently, he has gotten recognition from Matchroom Sports and is thereby the Captain of Team USA.

Last time I saw him in person when I was a "regular" on the tournament trail was in 2005. Here's a photo.

"Flip it" in the UK might mean the verbal description of giving the finger, in which case you basically told him to "f'off" -- a declination of his offer. ;)

I wouldve laid any odds that a pic was coming next...lol

I dont know the specifics of why he was chosen, so your opnion is not greater than mine, and mine is not greater than yours.

Oh, brother! Give it up, man! You wouldn't recognize logic if it slapped you in the face. Sheesh!

Are you British, by any chance?

So I am illogical because I dont agree with your assessment?
Maybe CJ has connections that when he started playing again he utilized and placed him in the position he is now? I dont know.

My original point was how do inferior players get sponsors?
I am sure there are several factors, one of which is perceived value by the sponsor. I was trying to make a point its never good when the best players in the sport aren't necessarily in the sport as active as othersbased solely on opportunity.

I know I am not the smartest but I make sense to me :)

I've eaten mushy peas and they're quite nasty. On my first day living in England I was also very nearly gagged to death by deep-fried toast. This is considered a healthy breakfast. Still miss the countryside though.

I see you JAM being a little mean to the English folks on here.

From what I read and see, obviously in my own opinion, Jennie is a flag waver. If it's American, it's good and righteous. If it isn't American, it's garbage and threatens the very fabric of the cosmos.

I've listened to some of her heroes tell me personally how *iggers 'n' spi*s 'n' yellows are ruining their country and in another thread she tells people if they don't like those heroes then she doesn't like you. I suppose that means I'm not her friend, and I imagine I'm the only one who feels a loss there. So be it.

I don't mind flag wavers. I think America is great country. And as a proud Canadian I can honestly say crap like the Vancouver riots and lil' Justin B make me want to burn my flag. It's embarrassing. But then again I don't live in a bubble where everything anyone born under my flag does is golden.

I could, of course, be entirely wrong about her. It's just what I see here.

At any rate, I don't like mushy peas.
