What is our personal greatest accomplishment as a Pool Instructor? An example being you were the Teacher, or Coach to what GREAT PLAYER who is still active in the Pool in year 2011? Or ??
Why does your greatest accomplishment require working with a great player? Don't you think working with beginning and intermediate players can bring a lot of gratifcation to an instructor?
I spent 30 years as a professional educator, I have never had the chance to pick and choose whom I wanted to teach.
The amount of replies tell a story I think I know the ending of? I do know Jerry Brieseth who winters near me has, & is coaching a couple of TOP WOMEN PROS. Do not believe he post on this forum.

I think I would personally just my accomplishment as a Teacher or Instructor if I was a Teacher, or Instructor. By the accomplishment of those who I taught. I also understand many student do not practice, or put effort into the material they are taught.
But the GREAT MATH TEACHER out of Garfield High School, East Los Angeles, California., Jaime Escalante did not have a lot to work with when he taught Advanced Math, but his teaching methods motivate, and taught his student well. His story was chronicled in the move "Stand and Deliver ".
I met this Escalante while on a photo assignment in Sacramento, where he had move to teach after leaving East LA because Sacramento Unified School district made him n offer he could not refuse.
He IMHO Escalante was a teacher, who left a legacy of successful students, because of those student being lucky enough to have been taught & influenced by Escalante.
Bruce...Quit being a nit and asking stupid questions that have no relevance to anyone but you. I don't have to (and the word is JUSTIFY) make up any stories. People choose to work with me because of my success with others. That in itself is enough for me...I certainly don't need grandstanding to pump myself up. You're a sad individual to even start this thread. Oh, and btw, Jerry doesn't even use a computer much...and he wouldn't post to this thread if he did.

Scott IMHO you are the NIT IMHO. I attended one of your clinics one year for about 20 minutes at the BCAPL 8 Ball thing. Yes it was a FREE CLINIC. You went on and on about the STOP SHOT, and Hole Reinforcer used as a teaching AID. Bored me to tears, so I got up and left without say a word, other too got up and left.
Maybe you should have stayed for 25 minutes. Likely you missed the most important part.
Scott IMHO you are the NIT. Not answer the question, but instead call me names!
BTW I attended one of your clinics one year for about 30 minutes at the BCAPL 8 Ball thing at the Riveria. Yes it was a FREE CLINIC. You went on and on about the STOP SHOT, and Hole Reinforcer (white sticky donuts) used as a teaching AIDS to learn the Stop Shot.
Bored me to tears, so I got up and left without say a word, others too got up and left before me.
BTW IMHO Jerry's Basic DVD is like a 4 Star Value under $20.00, in Pool Instructional, and if you can master 95% of that DVD DVD IMHO you will be playing better than 95% of the other players. IMHO
BTW Scott have you ever had a Nation Champion, or Pro Player as your student. OH yes Jerry does use the computer, as he has his own web-site, and answers e-mail.
Oh now I see you edited your post, so what was it Coco twenty minutes or 30 minutes.
It would be fun seeing you testify on a stand.
See how bored I was I can not recall how long Scoot bored me, so I gave you a better guess.
Don't recall what I was wearing, or what place I stayed, or the day of the week or time of day of the clinic that year. Could have been three or four years ago, as we don't do Las Vegas no more.
But I do recall I was bored by Scott. I also recall there was a guy at the Predator Booth doing a Clinic on Breaking & Jumping.
He was Dress in Camo/Military Pants & a Black Predator Logo Shirt, and he was a GREAT ENTERTAINER, and TEACHER. Learn a thing or two from him, and I believe he said he was from the state of FL.
Now go think of something else clever to say.
You asked the same question a year ago. Weren't you satisfied with the responses then, or are you simply stirring the pot again for some personal grudge you have against the instructors here?
