What kind of cue do you use? And does the linen go all the way down the butt? I watched you beat Mika at the Open this year and it was GREAT.

Cris Bartram is a Beast!!!!! Hope to see you play Frankie, would enjoy that!

Does this mean the 7 at 9 ball ,or the 7,8,9 at 10 ball?I am not sure what you meant.

Chris, there are probably a lot of players like myself here on AZ, that are probably good players who play a lot and have paid our dues but have not been able to reach the next level. I was wondering if there was a defining moment that you improved something in your game or did it just evolve gradually to the point to allow you play at such a high level. I guess what I am asking, is, did you practice patterns of other pros or have a tough practice routine or take lessons etc. Any advice would be very appreciated.

just over time i went around the country playing.
it took longer for me cause i use to stall and hustle.
now days young players get good fast from going right out in the pro tourneys.
but i was able to make good money the years i was on the road.
if you want to get to a high level find a good player who lives in your town and play them as cheap as poss.

Dont forget to remember all the beatiful work Dick did under that wrap. :grin-square:

the story as I remember goes like this, Chris wants a new cue, Dick builds him one with a beatiful butt sleve with fantastic inlays(I saw the pictures), Chris decides he wants the wrap where his grip is-right where the wrap and beatiful butt sleve meet. Dick takes a deep breath and re-wrapped the cue forever burying his work with a wrap. Chris is happy and the rest is history.

I have hit balls with that cue and wow its a special cue for sure, and I do like the way the wrap feels and going back that far, Cue-Tec is doing that now on a few cues.

Happy Christmas to Chris, Barry and their crew and Dick,

Fatboy<----in a good mood :)

The really sweet thing in the early days when he was 17-20 was that players would hear that there is this kid in Columbus, Ohio that is gambling high and he plays like Player X. Well by the time they got that line and made their way here Chris had improved by the 8 ball and the line was no good..... Good times!!! Bart, would you be mad if they started hunting you down like that again???

If anyone thinks Chris having the inlays covered by the wrap is bad, they would have flipped out if they seen the Dickie Cue that Chris had me spray paint and put stickers on to hustle with.... LOL It was a husting piece of art!

Merry Christmas Eric!!!
