Question for cue guys...

Eric

I'm sorry you're feeling down and I hope you ride it out. There is no "cue remedy for stress" that is stronger than the Barry Tribute cue. Leave the nitro, pick up the Szam.

A close friend of mine lost his 3 cushion billiard instructor (he lived a long life) and my friend placed 3 carom balls in the casket. As it was being lowered, the balls shifted and rolled to the other end of the casket. All the moarners heard this clatter.

For the few who understand the billiard passion, we knew he was just scoring one last point.

As for cues, however, I have (and I know you have also), far too much respect for the cuemaker to forever remove a precious cue from the world. Best to will your unsurpassed collection to those you love or those you know share your appreciation.

Besides, in the afterlife, I'm sure Gus will turn you something special.

i wouldnt ever take a Gus out of circulation, but a old McDermott might be the ticket.

i took beta blockers and used nitro until late afternoon today i fel ok now. its just stress.

when i die i'm just going to give my cues away to people who dont flip/sell cues. please dont send a hit man.

best

I can live with that- and so can you!

Try thinkin' more about how you are going to enjoy tomorrow's game and which cue you will wield for it. ;)

buried?

I want to be buried with the case Cole Dickson gave me in 1993 when my wife
passed away and any Jack Madden cue I own at the time.

Mmmmmm.......

Too difficult to decide on what goes with me, so I've decided not to go at all...

Eric,

Retire.....that is what I did, and my stress level is great now. I know you are still young, but you should seriously consider it. Let the business stuff go.. its only money...time is what you need, not money.

I was a workaholic in a high stress job. I had a heart attack, bypass surgery and so far 3 other related surgeries. I changed my attitude about how important I was and what I wanted to do, and took an early retirement so I would have some time to do what I wanted to do for a while.

Now, I deal a few pool cues to stay busy, play a little pool, do a few weeks each year in the Outer Banks fishing and just hang out with family and friends. My blood pressure is way down, and I feel great. Working is way over-rated...

As for being buried with your cue, if that is what you want, go for it.

Joe

My cues are not worth that much maybe a few hunder a pc if that. But I love them and my family knows this and to my daughters they are priceless. Because they belong to me and that is why they will stay with them to enjoy them like I did till its time to pass to on to there kids. That is the way I look at it. Jerry

My Custom S.W.

So what if any cue is your coffin cue???

Eric, you've seen the cue S.W. made for me. Its the one cue I'll never sell.

But I would hate to take it out of circulation when I die. Hopefully it will be around for a long time and others can enjoy owning it after I'm gone.

I'll probably be cremated anyway, a grave is a waste of good real estate.

PS: How about showing those pics of your cue & my Dad's S.W.?
