I am interested how to replace tip on ferrulles shaft?
Is there some trick to do that or simple put the glue on wood directly?
Never done that before so i am afraid to do something wrong...
Thanks

It is about FERRULLE LESS SHAFT!

It is Black Boar ferrulles shaft. There is no Ferrulle on this shaft.Tip is glued directly on wood.
Thanks anyway...

Retipping a ferruless shaft is no different than a shaft with a ferrule. You need to be a little more careful as the wood is softer than a ferrule, but thats all. If you have any doubts about your own ability, get someone who can do the job properly to do it for you.

Wait... You want to experiment on a black boar? My advice is this sounds like a very bad idea and to have an expert do it for you.

I am not crazy to experiment!!
That is why i am asking before anything.
I changed hundreds tips before but this one never.Better to ask then acting smartness...

I'm sure he read the question, but your spelling was so poor that I didn't know you were talking about ferrule-less shafts either.
You spelled it "ferrulles", then you get on the guy for trying to help.
I wouldn't get anywhere near a Black Boar shaft if I were you.

You are right.I am sorry for that. :sorry:

I'm sure you know to install a tip on a shaft, ferrule-less, Black Boar, whatever, or the guy wouldn't of given it to you to work on.
You should tape the entire installation  including the happy customer taking his first shot.

It is my shaft...just got it.
I am playing with G2 tip very long time...
Considering on BB shaft is other tip i was thinking to put G2 tip on it.Still thinking and not sure to do that or not...
Maybe just keep the original tip and play with it:yes:

I have a leftover BB shaft with the original tip, and I let people use it when I don't want to chalk shafts on certain cues.
That BB shaft helped sell a nice cue the other night, and one afternoon at Hanks I used
it to put three one packs on measureman.
The shaft plays really good with the original tip.

I was depressed for a week,no sleep,couldn't eat,just miserable.

i am no expert

but i have built 430 pool cues, i build freeuless shafts as do other builders, most of us DO NOT just glue the tip to the wood, most use a carbon fiber pad between the tip and the wood.

please make that ' ferruleless '
