A funny one on USPS...a friend in NY wanted to send me a T-shirt....the Postal clerk in NY told him he'd need to fill out a customs form because Oregon was a foreign country. Uh...Oregon's been a state since 1859...but to a New Yorker, nothing west of the Hudson River exists...

Wait a minute, how did you know it was lost? Did the guy who was supposed to get it call and ask where it was while it was actually hiding under his bed?

USPS rarely loses anything of mine

how can usps loose the same freakin package... twice!!!

then be rude to me....morons

Dave,

They make the mistakes and then give you the run around or are ugly to you. I do feel your pain. I hate shipping stuff.

USPS rarely loses anything of mine. Mislocated a priority mail package for eight months, other things for years, but it usually isn't lost, just mislocated! :D I mailed a check fifty miles three months ago. I'm sure it will get there, some year!

Real hell was UPS and a package when they had better tracking. I paid to have a shipment I badly needed rushed from the neighboring state of Texas. It went to California! I squalled and it made it all the way back to Texas again before returning to California! I foamed at the mouth for awhile and watched the package take the grand tour of the United States before reaching me. A helpful soul had changed LA for Louisiana to CA for California, then the zip code was wrong so they changed that too!!

People wonder why I drive hundreds of miles when I really need something instead of spending a few dollars for shipping. While fuel is expensive so are blood pressure med's and medicinal alcohol in large quantities!

as a retired postal worker(42 yrs.) i feel we get a bap rap most of the time. for the amount of packages we handle, loss is minimal. if you think USPS is bad, just try some of the other countries in the world. WE ARE THE BEST!

the funny thing is they tried to deliver first package. no notice left. when i went to pick it up they cant find it at the post office.

the second one has been in my town for 5 days and they cant find it. delivery not even attempted

SMALL CLAIMS COURT!!!!

Print out a copy of the tracking info online and take it to there office. If no one is willing to deal have your lawyer contact them. I know mine enjoys this very much and we both sit around and laugh when we can hear the shuffling thru all there stuff and then they finally go HERE IT IS...

Only had to file suit once with UPS.. Long story but i will never use them again. USPS all the time and FedEx for when I forgot to get there before they closed..

Good luck Dave. Just don't make any threats cause they got that whole Homeland Security thing to stand behind. take it up the chain and take names of everyone you talk to and the times and dates you talked to. if you go the legal route everyone of them are liable for mishandling of your mail. Even if they just push paper!!!!!!!
