I'm thinking of getting a new shaft. Can anyone offer any feedback on the OB1 shaft? How does it play? Is it stiff?

not very stiff but not whippy.kind of in the middle.my only gripe was that it has a really, really soft feel.almost mushy.i did like mine better than i liked my Predator.

I agree with masonh. I like them better then Predator. The ferrule took me some time to get used to. I like the action I get with the cue ball. If you are looking to buy one I can make you a great deal on a new one.

the ferrule does take some time to get use to but it hits mushy bc of that tip. im pretty sure they come with talisman tips. i hate them in general.

i put one on a few shafts and they play like crap.

i switched it to everest and it plays like my predator

predator tiger or ob1(with a different tip) would be ok. all stiff shafts

yea i've heard many people complain about the talismans. many say the ob plays better after u change the tip. i personally dont know too much about the ob. used it a bit and kept missing since i'm used to my solids so i stopped using it. i hate laminated shafts anyways and that includes predator. the only laminated shaft i would even consider using would probably be a t3. i find it's the best one available.

OBee Juan

I play exclusively with my OB shafts and love them. I've always had problems with the Talisman tips so I use Triumphs but Moori's work nice too. I recenlty had to replace the factory phenolic pad and they guys at OB are very good with customer service. 'Hit' of course is a subjective issue but they are definitely worth a try. At the very least I don't think you would have a hard time selling the shaft on here if you don't like it.

I've had mine about a week. It took some getting used to as the hit is very much unlike my other shafts and tips but once I got accustomed to the change in feel I really liked the change in playability.

I having it cut down to 12.25mm and my Morri Quick tip installed.

they hit great. my only complaint is the stock tip i didnt like.. also im curious, it seems like my friends predator 1st gen is lower deflection than the ob, i thought the ob was supposed to be lower? does that have to do with the tip?

Ob1

I really like them. I was a predator 314 guy for about 4-5 years, made the switch and haven't looked back since. With the exception of a few of my custom shafts (Harris, Bender, SW) it is all I use now. To me it offers a more lively feel than the 314 series, and as some have said, changing the tip doesn't hurt as I prefer Sniper tips. It will feel a little "softer" on the hit side if that makes any sense.

OB-1 Great choice

Hi , The Ob-1 shaft is a great alternative to the predator shaft. Alot softer hit and great positive feedback whenyou hit. I'm an autorized OB-1 dealer for North America. I would recommend you shop around and when you think you got the best price let me know and I will match it or better it . Please visit our web-site at www.thewinningstroke.com

thanks and have a great day!
