Is Mr. Wilson GOD?

I don't know who AKA Mr. Wilson is and I have no idea who Christy? is but I know Jimbo.

I am a cuemaker and he does not buy my cues BUT he is always straight forward and honest in the things he says.

I don't always agree with him but I value his opinion and I support his right to say what he thinks.

The internet is one of the last vestiges of freedom in this world and without voices like JIMBOS' we all suffer a great loss.

Terms of endearment, ladies. Like "Mawissa", but more creative. And the avatar isn't photoshopped, Scott. So much for the truce that you messaged me, though, huh? By any chance, are you bipolar? 'Cause that was like the fifth one in about a year.

There is always usenet for people who want that freedom.

With a board like this, which is private property, there is a limit to "freedom of speech".

There are a set of written rules that people agree to in order to post on the forum.

If they don't wish to follow the rules, despite numerous warnings, who is at fault?

So now you are bannishing Bill Stroud to usenet, in your infinite wisdom on freedom. Really? Wow.

Jim, you used this gayish color but the color and content of your posts separated them from the rest. You should have gone with vanilla or sumthin. :D
Anyway, I hope this gets resolved and cooler minds will prevail and you'll be mudslinging here again sometime.
I relayed your message to Edwin.

Never said your current avatar was photoshopped, only that you have stated in the past that many of your pics are airbrushed. As usual you twist things around and make up words.

No truce. I was calling Dave Wilson on his hipocracy (sp?) and you happen to represent a perfect example.

Also not bipolar and you are insulting me by saying that and I expect it to result in at least a 3 month ban (if not lifetime, due it its being your second one) for you. Or do I have to whine about the insult in a PM??

The problem is that the rules are fluid and not equally enforced. It is based on who pisses you off, or who does cue work for you.

That may be an overstatement, but it is very close to the "true" and seems to all too often be forgotten on this forum.

Which is how it should be and one of the things I've been saying since the day Wilson became a moderator.

Earlier today Wilson used our place of employment as an analogy and asked if we would continue to let our friends at work act up if they were going to get fired or would we encourage them to be quiet. I don't agree with the analogy but using his train of thought with what you just said...

How many people would continue to go to a job where the boss berated the employee's in front of other employee's, or let all the employee's that so & so was written up for whatever reason?

This is a discussion I had last week with my former boss. Need less to say he was not very professional in lecturing our current co-op.

Later that Co-op got an apology in front of the same people he was lectured in font of.

All I can say is, sorry you feel that way. I've been polite to you ever since and will continue to be so.

As for misspelling of the name, The "T" and "Y" are right next to each other. A simple typo. Unlike "Mawissa" which she and Barbara continue to type.

Yeah, but the D is this <-----------------> far away.....
Doug
( what about the D ? ) ( and the A, there's no A in Eydie )

Wilson and I are discussing Jimbo's banning.

I did not see the thread that got him the ban, but I have stated over and over that insulting fellow forum members will get you a ban pretty fast. I am all for a good heated debate. But calling someone an idiot for what they believe will not fly.

And Barbara, one big difference between Wilson and I is that 90% of the time I warn people privately. Just because you don't see a warning doesn't mean that one was not given.

Mike

The other big difference is you don't continue to try and cause a fight after a warning. Have never seen you egg someone on to being banned, though I have taken some of Mr. Wilson's posts as doing just that.

See? You did it again. Truces every few week and calling me bipolar (I only go for the girl polar bears!).

And, another insult toward Eydie. Mr. Wilson, is this recent enough for you??
Where have I insulted her or you? I didn't call you bipolar. I happen to work for a physician and surgeon and the complex our office is in has several other doctors. We also refer out of hospitals in Atlanta. I helped you find a table mechanic, didn't I? And you do send me truces every few weeks. It's perplexing!

True forums like this are not the usenet, but to call them "private property" is stretching the term. Sure the servers, the name "AZ Billiards", even the internal network is truly private property, but it functions on the internet which is not private property in any sense of the word. The internet exists within a certain "zeitgeist", which allows more freedom than you seem to want to allow. Yes, Mike and you as his agent are within your "rights" to banish people from participation on AZ Billiards, and sometimes it is absolutely neccessary (Fast Larry). However, to go to your holster too quickly is to fly in the face of the spirit of the internet. Jim and several others that were banished did not interfere with the functioning of the forums in my opinion. Obviously your opinion is different. That's your perogative, but ... well I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point as well as I'm going to.

With all due respect Marissa, you work for a lasik eye surgery outfit. The doctors in the office where you work have nothing to do with psychology, nor would they have reason to refer patients to any as best as I can tell.

Awhile back you said something to Scott about this truce thing and now you're saying that he does this multiple times. Do you ever keep these as proof? As you know, I'm always quoting both myself and others when accusing or defending. I'm just wondering if you've kept any of the olive branch messages? I would think after he turned on you the first time, you would've saved the messages for a time like this? (I'm just asking because I know that I would so that I could back myself up in a situation like this)

I'll let everyone that can read see where you have insulted me and others people on here and then claim innocence. It is transparent and tiresome.

Now your saintedness is trying to help a medical problem, diagnosed in your expert opinion, because you do office work for an opthamologist.

Pool table needs moved/setup = medical referral. Ohhh, now I see the connection.

Do you really believe the bullshit that comes out of your keyboard??

I didn't reference the surgeon I work for, but I do associate with doctors of varying medical fields in the medical park in which our practise is located, and other medical offices and hospitals.

I try to save all my PMs before deleting them from my mailbox. I attribute that to my OCD. It'll take a while to run a search (almost two year's worth on three computers), but if you're sincerely interested I can let you know when it's done.

In all honesty, over the past year I have twice told Marissa in PM's that she and I will never see eye to eye and I was done with trying. Both times I guess I lied because I finally could not stand the BS anymore and jumped back into the fray. In some bizarro world that could be considered a truce, I guess.

I didn't save the PM's because they were not important. If she did, feel free to post them and try to embarass me or whatever is your intention. I feel stupid for even getting dragged down to this level.

My thoughts.... Mike saw fit to appoint Dave as moderator. Don't know why. Dave was cool at first and has been lately getting more and more inconsistent, vindictive and autocratic. That's probably what Mike wants and I sure wouldn't want to be put in Dave's position.

This place is not fun anymore about 65.27% of the time. And, that truly blows.

I wish I could be more like SJM and Tate and stay out of these things, but I find that my heart tells me to defend my friends and acquaintances.

I miss Drivermaker, Rude Dog and Jimbo. I miss Jude Rosenstock because true moderation did not stop a thread from insulting his religion and heritage until it was too late. I miss Old Has Been because he was probably the smartest person among us. I miss all of the pro players and cue makers and industry people who don't dare post on here because they know it is just a matter of time before they are attacked (not challenged, attacked) and it's just not worth it.

We all lose in this scenario because the forum is not handled consistently and fairly for everyone.

As JAM is so famous for saying . . . . FWIW IMHO
