Racking with the Magic Rack

i normally place the rack , place the 1 on the head spot of the rack then gently ROLL the balls into place dont worry about the first few balls in being completley frooze. Once you place that back ball in the rest seem to settle in to place and then you can jsut touch them to freeze all the way and your done .

takes time to get used to it but once you do i promise you will never want to use the other crap we have been subjected to for years and years.

And if anyone says they dont want to use it when playing you jsut tell you want a tight rack and we can rack our own balls and you use your wood rack and ill use the MR .

have fun

One other nice feature of the Slug doctor and Magic Ball Rack, especially for home table owners, is that there is less wear and tear on the cloth from throwing the triangle against the foot rail / loading the balls/ then sliding the whole thing into position - or back and forth, back and forth like some people do. It really cuts down on the wear in that area from the foot rail to the spot that you see on just about every commercially used table.

The only time I've had any problem with the MR is when one or more of he balls isn't round. Otherwise, its 20 seconds to a perfect rack with all balls touching. What more could you ask for?

Thanks

Kevin

Yes, I agree, should add some time to life of the cloth.

Gathering device....

I have gotten good feedback on my ball gathering devices, very light and they get the balls right over the magic rack fast.

I timed my MR racking last night. 9 ball took me 10-12 seconds once all balls were at the foot-rail. 10 ball takes a second longer.

IMO, anyone saying that "it takes too long to rack with the MR" either needs more practice, isn't doing it right or has super shaky hands.

I always look at the rack after 'cause sometimes the second row balls are a hair apart, in which case I "massage" them together.

A little tip - on my home tables I take a Sharpie pen and put one dot behind where the 9 ball goes, to ensure my 9 or 10 ball racks are not "slanted".

Yup, and then you factor in the lack of need for rerack after rerack, adjusting, tinkering, checking, and racking with MR is way faster.
