Ralf Souquet - 27 B&R in 8-ball

27 break n runs. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!

Would love to know what he breaks with. Anyone know??

I've heard an old action story about some road player going through Panama City, North Florida area and busting a pool room running 30+. I can't remember who told me, if they saw or heard about it? I had a guy that used to live in out area claimed that he ran out 4 league matches which was like 20 racks. Someone at Ralph's speed? I'm not all that surprised.

Hey dude -check site eurotour.nu - under players click Norway
and then
chek out stats for a Kjorsvik - 116 - 14.1 , 5 - 9 ball, 100 - 8 ball !!!!!!
sounds fishy to me !!!!!

She ran the 116 at Amsterdam Billiards right after the WPBA Fall Classic in 2002. It was table 6 with about a half dozen witnesses (including myself). Very nice woman and it was a very clean run. I have no idea what the "100" is for 8-ball. Obviously some sort of mistake.

Sardo rack as well maybe?

Not that he would have absolutely needed it, but if I'm ever on rack 22 or something, I'm makin' damn sure the thing is racked tight. :D

Sounds like a Toby Sweet story. He ran a lot of racks on a lot of people. :)

There's a name we seldom hear any more. Last I heard, he had won enough to buy his own pool hall in or close to Las Vegas, where he settled down.
Kept to himself, stern & no nonsense when he was at the table.

28 racks in a "ROW"

Very impressive. I watched Nick Varner run 35 balls in one pocket breaking like 14.1.

I know he has the brain to do it, but how about actually making anything on the break 27 times in a row? He must have gotten extremely lucky.

I agree. I could fire the cue ball out of a cannon and still not make a ball on the break that many times in a row. This is an amazing feat. Out of the thousands of matches in the IPT tournaments no one even ran 8 consecutive.

I spoke about this issue with Ralf about a year ago, and if my memory serves me well, he said it was GC III, with tapped rack, and original (loose) pockets.
I believe I asked about the pockets and he said they were original - not shimmed. I might be wrong though, but that was how I understood it..

About if it's true (the 27 b&r) or not, in my mind there is no question about it. Ralf is an honest guy and would never lie something like this.

I e-mailed Ralf just to make sure it was 27 in a ROW and he confirmed that it was.

Anyone who thinks Ralf would lie about something like that has his head wedged in a very dark and uncomfortable place.
