1. Where do you place the cue ball and where do you aim for a cut break in 9 ball?

2. What's your favorite pool nickname (for anybody not just yourself)?

3. What does OB stand for in OB cues?

4a, b ,c. What percentage of shots do you hit with center, top or low (no side English) in a) 8 ball b) 9 ball c) one pocket

5) your life depends on it, choosing any player in the history of pool to play for you in a race to 30 alternating racks of 8, 9 and 1p who do you choose?

6) what's your favorite shot that seems easy to you but most pool players would find difficult?

too many questions for one thread, but as to # 6, I like to cut balls into the side pocket, most players don't......

I named one of the guys I play One Pocket with, Lucky, after a cat I had when I was a kid.
He got hit by a car. :)

6) what's your favorite shot that seems easy to you but most pool players would find difficult? Scratching on the break; others have to work at it, but for me it comes natural

There was a guy named Lucky who liked to gamble but honestly was not a great pool player. So I got talked into playing him 9 ball spotting him the wild 7 and 8. I could have probably given him a lot more weight, but about 1 inning in 3 the guy would send all the balls flying and he would pocket a money ball.

It was phenomenal how he could slop in money balls. I beat him but had to work at it. My buddy came over to me and said "that's why they call him Lucky. He does that to everybody.".

1. I don't know the answer, but Shane tells it in his Breaking video from TAR
2. Niels "The Terminator" Fiejen - to carry such a nickname means you have to be an absolute killer on the table (which Niels is) and it sounds cool when the Euro announcers say it with the accent- " The TerminatAHhhhh"- while taking down the nine in the mosconi cup.
3. Have no idea?
4.75% just center, top, low for all games-I'm still learning.
5. Luther Lassiter in his prime all the way-I'm trusting him with my life on those games.
6. I haven't an easy shot, but I can shoot the one where I aim massively low, miscue and pop the cue ball off the table better than anyone else. :p

Thanks! Me too, I feel like I am pool obsessed since I started playing 2 years ago, wish I had started when I was a teenager.

1. Thanks for the answers in the other thread about the cut break.
2. Mine is the South Dakota kid. Just sounds like an old western name, and SVB is my favorite player.
3. Thanks for the answers.
4. I feel like maybe I use English too much. Feel like 50% of shots in all games I'm using at least a little English, maybe more so in rotation games.
5.. I'm going with SVB mainly because he is my favorite, but I wouldn't hesitate to have Efren in his prime shooting for my life, I might be able to breathe during the match with him shooting.
6. I love the super long near 90 degree cut where the object ball is close to one rail and the cue ball the other. I make this shot way more than I should!

3. Don't need to know, don't want to know. I mean do you need to know what J. stands for in Michael J, Fox?
4. Almost all center , top or low , seldom English cos do not always play with Englishmen
5. They play like their life depended on it for only $50 or $100. They will faint and crap their pants if their life depended on it so it is a very hypothetical question. None of these so called tough gamblers will bet their life on it

I thought "Lucky" was a dog, as was explained in the lost doggy poster:

Help find lost dog. Missing left rear leg. Has been castrated. Blind in right eye. Right ear is in two pieces. Answers to the name of Lucky!

From the OB website:

“OB” is named for the founders Don Owen and Royce Bunnell and the company is officially Owen-Bunnell, Inc., a Texas corporation. The company was incorporated and manufacturing began in Royce and Don’s two garages in 2005.
 
Favorite Shot

#6 has to be the "ticky" down the rail when your opponent thinks you are done. rail, ball, pocket. Rackem.
