Rare Bill Schick Veneered cue with 5 Shafts

This is a beautiful cue. Bill Schick cue made in 1979 with Cocobolo on BEM with 4 veneers,white,green,green, and black. Has double pressed linen wrap put on by Marcus Dienst of Arthur cues in Germany.The cue is in pristene condition and that includes all the shafts. The pictures can speak better than me.All shafts have Moori tips except one and that has Triangle.

Butt weighs 15.5 oz. at 29 in.

This Is An Interesting Cue.... Thin Rings, And A 3/8 10 Steel Joint On A Cue From 1979.... That Has To Be A Very Rare Comination. Awesome Collectable Example

Getting tired of this cue....

I too, looked at this cue and tried to make a deal. After talking to the owner and making an agreed deal, he backed out of the deal.

Reason? I am currently training in Vermont, and I asked if would be okay if I had him ship it to my friends house as I was not at my address and wanted it sent there instead. I was trading a Southwest cue and cash, and he said okay, then the next day called and left me a voicemail and told me because I was not at my paypal address he would not ship it to me. I offered to send him my Southwest and money order or cashiers check to him BEFORE he sent it to my friends house and again he refused.

A few days later, he put on ebay with 2 shafts and the other shafts he put on ebay with no reserve. I bid on both the cue and the shafts, I was the high bidder and the auction was pulled before the auction ended. I think he has done this a couple times. One of my pet peeves is pulling auctions.

I have bought and sold alot of cues, and I guess I am different than most, my word means something. This cue and its owner sticks in my crawl.

I wish all my friends here the best.

Hello Everyone, I would like to clear some things up here. The person that Ken is referring to is not Tommie who is the seller of this cue at this time. The person that Ken is talking about was the previous owner of this cue and he was the one who put the cue on ebay. Since then Tommie bought the cue and would now like to sell it. I just spoke to Tommie on the phone and assures me he has never made a deal concerning a South West plus cash deal for this cue nor has he ever made a deal and backed out of it. Once again that was the wrong doing of the previous owner.

If Tommie says he will do something than that's it, he's gonna do it. I just recently bought an 88' Joss West from Tommie and from the time we first talked about the cue and the time it was in my hands took four days! He is a stand up guy and I hate to see him get bashed on a public forum for something that he is not responsible for.

If for any reason you doubt the sale of this beautiful cue you can do two things:

1) Take a look at Tommie's itrader comments. 37 satisfied customer's.

I am not trying to stir up any animosity here on the board as I too am looking out for the best interest's of our fellow AZ'ers. I would just like to get everyone on the same page and clear up any confusion about the sale of this cue. I'm sure Ken was just unaware of these facts and jumped the gun a bit.

Tommie is away at a tournament for the weekend so his internet usage is limited. I spoke to him on the phone as soon as I saw that last post and wanted to clear everything up.

I have owned this cue for ONE week. If you have a problem it's not with the cue or me. My record speaks for itself. I have NEVER went back on my word.If you believe you have a problem with me call me on my cell,because I am out of town 209 470-7211. If not I think you might apoligize.Let's talk about the cue not get personel.

If the above post is true, then I appoligize. I have no reason to believe it isnt true.

I just know that I am "kenkathy2" on ebay, with 100% feedback of 112 and hand many many deals without feedback and I have done numerous deals on the internet including here.

I get asked if I have ever been cheated or had an issue. I have never had an issue on ebay, and never had an issue with anyone else.

But as you can tell, this deal really pissed me off.

I wish the currently owner of this cue the best, and wish karma on the previous owner.

Are Any Of The Shafts Original? When Was The Date Put On The Buttcap? His Older Cues I've Seen Were Not Dated Like This. Is The Joint Original? Has Bill Seen/verified The Cue?

Sorry For All The Questions, I Like The Cue, But Some Things Don't Make Sense To Me As What Bill Would Have Done In This Time Frame.

As far as all the exact specs on the cue you can give Tommie a call and he will be more than happy to answer all questions. He completely understands that this is a lot of money. That is why he posted his number, so folks would call him with any concerns. 209-470-7211.

Ken you are a true gentleman. I knew it was just a little mix up on all the facts. I have never done a deal with you before but I hear nothing but good things about you and your deals with others. I hope in the future we have the chance to do business.
