Yup. It's Showman. I'll give you $500 for it if I'm wrong.

Since I am right, did I win the cue?

I will bet you a $100 your wrong and I am right..

OMG.. Its a copy of a cue that Jim would have made, but didn't have the blank, so Phillippi got him the blank and Cosmo made it. So its really a Cosmo made Jim White inspiration of a Burton Spain Phillippi!!!

Petree is partially right....the cue originally came out of OK...use to be an old Guffey with Burton Spain points (not Prather). Guess Spanky saw this guy in progress at Mottey's shop. It really did turn out awesome. Jim did a spectacular job. :)

Since a few folks seem more than anxious to see a Petersen, I'll indulge them. Six tall points, alternating ebony and rosewood with ebony veneer.

Awesome Peterson..

Never saw the cue in progress but I remember you telling me a little about it.. It looks great..

Call me when you get a chance.. Need to talk to you about something..

My Guess is that this cue is out of the Mottey/ White camp .. The recut veneers ,the color of the veneers and the way that the white veneers in the short points taper at the bottom suggest Mottey / White shop.

The butt used to look like this (Guffey)...

LOL.....fire sale.....I've got that butt, about 10 inches of handle, and two full shafts. Make me an offer. :)

so this is what happened to my Guffey......., at least you could send me my shafts back, keep the butt, it would only break my heart everytime i see it........:)

if it really is my old Guffey then I must say the spain forearm has made a good career...

I bought it a 2 years ago on german ebay for very little money; then traded it with Steve for a nice Nova and a cheap "buy it now" for the skully Prather he once had which then was quickly traded for a 60inch Josswest (without adding money !!!:)....

still miss that Guffey sometimes, well esp. the forearm.....
