saw this one ebay..

funny in the description he says that it is very rare and he never seen another like it but then torwards the end, he says that the last time there was a cue like that it sold for over $6,500 and it was used... thats a contradiction if i ever saw it.. although the cue is different, i for one never seen anything like it..

check it out..

I saw one other one a guy had refinished. There weren't too many Earl Strickland Meucci's at all. There were several different styles. I have one that is a unique style but not this frog cue, and I don't think mine ever made it into production (it says "This is the First" engraved on it).

The frog cue is pretty interesting. Earl was known for his ability to jump the balls before everybody could do it with a jump cue. The frog theme relates to his jumping skills. Got to hand it to Bob Meucci to come up with a silly design like this!

I think this cue might be worth $500 or $600 as a conversation piece. Maybe Earl will buy it and chop it up. No matter what pretty girl kisses it, this cue is staying a frog.

Earl Strickland Meucci Cue

Have to admit...I've seen and owned alot of Meuccis but I've never come across this one. Kinda cool...but I don't even think this is worth even near 6K maybe close to a grand and that would be difficult to come by.

i dont even think the rempe meucci on ebay now is worth what they are asking.. even to a collector... i know of few guys in my area that have actuall cues that jim shot with.. afterall he is from like 20 minutes away from where i live..

Is it true, Earl snapped his Meucci shaft in the middle of a match against The Miz at Caesar's Palace and swore he'd never shoot with it again?
He then borrowed a cue from the audience and beat The Miz with a borrowed cue?

CHRIS,
I AGREE. I THINK I KNOW MORE GUYS THAT HAVE REMPE USED MEUCCI, THAN I KNOW GUYS THAT HAVE REGULAR MEUCCI'S. I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I SAW A MEUCCI, WITH A GUY WITH AN AFROM ON THE BUTTCAP, I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BEST BUTTCAP MARKING EVER. I STILL LAUGH EVERYTIME I SEE ONE.

Don't forget the bell bottoms! My own hair was down to the middle of my back (but blonde and straight). I wore chrome sunglasses, bell bottoms, Italian boots, and a gold chain.

What a get-up! Cole Dixon looked pretty much the same.

Ha, yes that's really good, but even I didn't degrade to the Johnny Miller, Jack Nicklaus bright print slacks. I was more a red cord type of bell bottom guy. Is that (was that) you?

Haha.. yikes! It's Larry Lisciotti.

Now the question remains to be asked.. would YOU have traded looking like that for having his stroke?

(had to edit. doh!)
