To the Special Collectors:
As many of you know, Ed Boado started the Omega/DPK cue company, and hired Messrs. Kersenbrock and Bender to make cues. I own many of the rarest cues to come into this venture, and am contemplating putting a few in play. No one has ever seen these cues, not even at the recent ICCS show.
These cues are extremely rare, including the first cue David Kersenbrock ever made, in 1972 while living in Las Vegas. The cue is fully documented with a letter from David to Ed in 1989, and fully describes the cuemaking equipment he (DPK) had at the time, how he set up shop in a second bedroom, where he bought each of the necessary materials for the cue, etc. I understand the enormity of this particular cue.
I have a fancy box cue with extensive silver work made strictly and only by DPK that is in my collection, and will not be for sale. Gotta keep up with my box cue fever.
These include the fancy (playing) cues made for Dallas West and Vivian Villareal (2), with their names engraved in the cues, and all fully documented. All one-of-a kind cues.
I own the second cue made by Omega/DPK (documented). The first cue was a BEM cue made just to test playability of design. This second cue is fancy, 5-point cue with lots of ivory inlays front and rear, with engraving.
There are several fancy cues with heavy, heavy engraving/scrimshaw work done by David Kersenbrock. These cues have never been for sale to the public before. All documented.
....And more.
I am interested in potentially a couple of trades, e.g., fancy Gus Szamboti box cues or 8-point Gus cues, unique ivory handled Ginacues, fancy documented Balabushka well documented, etc.
None of these cues are ordinary, and none would leave for less than very special reasons.
I know there are several people who collect Omega/Dpk and are AZ members so this is mostly for awareness at this time. But you never know......
