Here is a cue I purchased awhile back with the intention of keeping, but things change and so do projects.

Little is known about this cue except that it is certainly an R-Series cue from the 1980's. It appears that the cue may be a R-12 Variant cue and it could also be 1 of 1 which many of the variant cues were. I have not had any luck as yet contacting Bob Runde about this cue so that I could gather additional information. All aside, this cue is a must for any serious Schon R-Series or Runde Series collector because you will not find another cue like this one, and also to my knowledge the cue with the exception of the shafts is Original unrestored Condition. The cues shafts have been cleaned / Sealed and new finish has been applied to the joint collars by me.

The cue come with two shafts both have Westinghouse macarta Ferrules, shaft 1 is 13mm or .310 / 29 inches long and shaft 2 is 12.5mm or .290 and it is 28 15/16 inches long.

Shaft 1 weighs - 4.1 oz

Shaft 2 weighs - 3.7 oz

Both Shafts have a very minor taper roll, but nothing that will effect playability.

The cues butt is 29 1/4 inches long and it weighs 15.7 oz, the joint diameter is .830 and the butt cap diameter is 1.245.

The Cue butt is dead straight.

Asking Price is 1000 + Shipping but reasonable offers may be excepted

Great looking cue and all those old Schon's hit great. They also make great daily players without costing a fortune. Good luck with the sale.

Pretty Sharp points /with BEM

These cues did have a certain way with your stroking Hand- so solid is the construction. the wide body- defiantly a GB or GS look to it. this cue will keep ya warm in the winter- because this cue says Player all over it. Mark

This is a beautiful and rare cue. I got to see and hit with it and it is awesome. Craig I need to stay away from you after seeing this cue I am THINKING about an early Schon collection. Aren't we all sick? Good luck with the sale, I am sure it won't last long at that price. I will see you sometime soon with a couple of cues I picked up. Take Care and Merry Christmas.

That's a good looking cue. Monte had something similar and I showed it to Ernie Gutierrez and he pointed outed to me that on Monte's, Schon had cut that box frame out as one piece (as opposed to stacked or mitered inlaid strips) and dropped the entire frame in at one time. Can you see if that's how your cue was made?

Thanks

Kevin

I can't believe the Schon cue is still available. I am hoping to come by tommorrow and show you two fancy and special Frank Paradise cues I picked up. I might have to take another hard look at that beautiful Schon again.
Take Care and Merry Christmas
