i have seen G-11,it is heat resistant.as far as i know though G-10 and G-9 and G-11 are the hardest you can get besides carbon fiber.i have thought about getting some carbon fiber for tip/ferrule combos but i am afraid it will break the cue ball.

Does it really make that much difference...

I have seen great players jump with plain old hard leather tips very effectively, I think at some point skill matters much more than the hardness of the tip/ferrule combination. Just a thought.

since you won't say what it is,how do you know it is harder than G-10?are you going by feel or was it tested?i am curious to see how hard it is since G-10 is so strong.

Trust me its been tested...and tested. Its much harder than G10 & you can feel it. It also ruins your tools. Forgive me for not giving the scientific material name so everyone can run out & copy me. A lot of effort was given to make my cues perform as well as possible....not everyone elses cues.;)

i don't blame you for not posting it,but since you had it tested so many times, what are the specs.tensile strength and compressive strength?then we will at least know how hard it is.

Mason you don't need the specs...you aren't trying to market the material. Do you want to Google the specs to try & find out what it is? Its psi is well over 100,000. All you need to know is it works OUTSTANDING and I give a lifetime warranty with it on my cues. Now unless you are building a fire suit out of the material & your life depends on it, then I believe I've said enough. And no...I won't give you any info in a reply to your pm. Sorry buddy...move along.:)

the PM was also asking for the psi ratings,i just didn't know if you saw this post or not.thanks for your reply Kevin, sorry to pry.i am now moving along.

Its a space age albino carbon proprietary resin. :)

I had my R@D team research this material and, in laymans terms, it's also known as the "dick" tip...the more you play with it the harder it gets:D
