i wasnt trying to be volatile like some people on here. thanks for the info. i heard many people say really great things about jerry. you were really the first to post any negative... other than measureman.
The cue i have was really nice and most other examples are as well that i have seen.

I have zero reason to knock any cue maker. I have more cues than most and have been lucky to have met and most top cue makers. I’d never knock a cue maker unless they had it coming. In fact I kept my mouth shut mostly on this cue for years.

If you think my word isn’t 1000% ask around here. I’m kinda well known here. And you’ll see that when I say something-it’s a fact or I don’t say it.

Sucks you had a bad experience and to be honest, this is the first bad experience I've heard involving Jerry. I don't doubt it. Everyone dogs it now and again; we're all human. I love my cue, the way it looks and the way it plays. My experience with Jerry was top shelf.

I’ve heard that before. That’s kind of why I let it go. Knocking a active guy, harming his livelihood isn’t my style. Now that he’s done-I said what I did because it doesn’t harm him. As far as the cue owners, we’ll the cues speak for themselves and some are great cues. For that matter I’ve had a couple Gus’s that weren’t the greatest. It happens. Sadly I got a bad cue. And when I called I got blasted like I don’t know about cues-🤔

All good. That’s why 99% I’d the time I only say positive things or I don’t speak.

It’s water under the bridge. I was just disappointed. What I asked for wasn’t absolute perfection it was only a $1400 cue. But it needed refinished as the veneers were not cleaned properly and look like shit. Was a simple request within reason.

I’m a biz man, I know the cue biz. I’ve bought and sold a zillion cues. I know too many people expect too much from cue makers. This wasn’t the case. What I requested was very reasonable. I got blasted like I knew zero about cues and hung up on. Maybe he was having a bad day. I didn’t call back. Tossed it in a junk cue-cue case and forgot about it.

That’s the story.

I hardly have any pics of any of my cues, I’m lazy about that. Someday I need to photograph my cues. When I do I’ll get to that one. It’s black and green. Pretty sexy cue, from a distance.

I've also said that the Meucci I once had was a terrible cue it played great but warped and fell a part in 6 months.
I have no problem talking about cues good or bad.
 
I wasn't saying anything negative about you either. Appreciate your help in the past as well. Meucci I like their cues but customer service is out of this world terrible.

There have been true horror stories posted here.
 
Both my Jerry R. Cues feel pretty nice when you stroke a cue ball.
In terms of appearance, both are really handsome cue designs, IMO.

The last cue he made for me was as close to perfect as one could hope.
We became close pals and he was reliable, truthful and accommodating.

Can’t say much about the bad experiences of others and don’t want to
dismiss it but Jerry has retired & he’s got a lot more admirers than critics.

It's not the great cues a cue makers puts out that makes them a great cue maker, its how they handle the situations with the not so great cues they put out that makes them a great cue maker, and one to be remembered long down the road.
 
I saw a Jerry R titlist that he had turned the joint on a different axis than the forearm to get the points to line up. They still weren't great.

Kicker is, he then convinced the owner it was better that way.

I built these tables from scratch, does that look like "upholstery" work to you? Name ONE OTHER table mechanic in the planet who's designed and built his own line of coin operated pool tables, just ONE!!!
