What is the acceptable amount of time to wait for money order payment, without responses to PM's sent regrading said payment, before re-listing the item as available for sale again?

I would think after 1 week of no replies you should be free to do what you want.

IMHO the buyer should get funds to the seller ASAP, and the seller should get items sold, or traded to the buyer ASAP. IF a Check or Money order is involved, as SOON AS FUNDS CLEAR.

I personally had one problem with a guy who handle I do not recall, his name was ARRON PAINTER. He was a Cuemaker, and has been booted off AZB.

He kept saying he forgot to mail a Check for $20.00. This went on for THREE WEEKS. Finally I told him, he must have some big problems if he can get a check in the mail, and I am moving on, and re-listing.

As much time as you feel. My logic when your selling is it's yours. If the guy doesn't hit you on PM in 2-3 days, I'd relist. Especially if he's been on AZ and you can see that.

It's yours until it's paid for, sell to who you please. If M/O shows up after some one else pays, just send it back.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yeah, it's been a week since my last communication with the buyer. He said he was sending a MO but I haven't gotten it and there are others asking if the item is still available. I've sent him two or three PM's asking if payment was sent with no response. If the MO isn't in my mailbox today, I'm selling to someone else.

Sell it to someone else. Send the buyer a final PM with a 24 hour notice that you are relisting it. A buyer that won't communicate is not a bonafide buyer. If you should happen to receive his money order after you sell it again, send it back to him.

You can "view public profile" for that person. Go to the statistics page. Toward the bottom is a time/date for "most recent activity". So if he has been on AZ during said time period, but has not even bothered to send you a PM...

1 week unless he gives some type of communication.

Money talks and BS walks.

I will share this story, that I will never forget. I sold a Gilbert cue on ebay, and the guy that bought, emails me that he needed to wait about a month until his social security check came in.

I said, "What ?!?!?!". I followed up that I wanted payment within 7 days or I would give him a bad comment. He said I was a cold SOB. I told him he shouldnt be buying cues if he is living Social Security Check to Social Security Check...

Frankly just when you think you have heard it all......

I swear that is a true story.

Just a thought before you write the guy off, is your PM box full? If so, maybe he messaged you but you couldn't get it.

My PM box isn't full and he hasn't been on AZ since he told me the MO was going out first thing the next morning.

Sounds like it's time for another auction! Good luck with your sale, I hope the next time it works out for you.

This is an excellent reason why, once it gets down to doing the actual business communications, PM's and such here on AZ just don't cut it.

Once you have a deal and it gets down to real communication about payments, shipping etc. Both parties have the right and expectation to know who they are doing business with. The anonymity of the PM systems on forums just doesn't work.

I recommend actual emails, real names and addresses, and phone numbers.

I won't do business without them.

I agree, whenever I have done any trading with people here I have provided them with my home address, email address and phone number. (and I expect the same in return)
