Really not a fan of Predator "Arcrapia" equipment...

We’ve tried to give predator every benefit of the doubt on these tables the last 2 years.

Fact is, they’re just cheap junk.

They still make good cues at least.

Are you guys there in person playing on them? The TV stream table look like they play great, to me.
Not atm, but a lot of my buddies are playing in the BCA World's there in Vegas on the 7 footers.
They're used to Diamond tables with Simonis cloth. Predator ones are far inferior.
They're telling me that the corners are tight but have shallow shelves. And the cloth is mud.
And the side pockets seem to play easier due to shallow shelf.
I told them to shoot with a gentler stroke--- shallow shelves will gobble up slow roll "bobbles", unlike Diamond's deep shelves.
Problem is though, the tables play so slow they have to play with more firm strokes to move the whitey around.

Yep, Diamonds are the gold standard in tables, have been for a long time. BCA just switched to Predators at the World's this year even though most BCA players play on Diamonds in their leagues.

I think the jury is still out on whether predator's efforts to expand past cue manufacturing were wi$e.

I don't think I would have stretched the brand there ...not that i have the knowledge to make an educated choice about that.

Seems the investment required to gain a profitable foothold is far too great. Depending on ksteel for your output isn't a reliable choice, imo.

Anybody think the tables were a limited run mainly undertaken to avoid the cost of procuring tables elsewhere? I think predator maybe started some events in a similar timeframe...$$$.

I've been torn on Predator for years, they sponsor and promote which is awesome and innovate to an extent, but the quality of their products is constantly hit and miss

of course as far as the tables, that's kind of on SAM imo who rarely get mentioned almost like a free pass,
those guys claim to make the best tables on earth bar none so unless SAM and Pred agreed to produce a lower quality table with higher margins ( not inconceivable) SAM needs to step up their game

the reality is there have been but two tables that on a large scale have properly accommodated pros for decades, gold crowns and diamonds, thats it
i would say the verdict is still out on the top of the line offerings from the chinese brands but SAM has never made the cut imo

They're delicate.

I've owned a few Predator cues and have used 314-2, 314-3, Vantage, and tried Revo 12.4 (I returned it within 30 day policy). This is my opinion. Deflection is real but overhyped. The products are outrageously overpriced for the "benefit" of return. Their products are not anything special, cheaply made and again, ridiculously overpriced. Predator mastered marketing not their actual products. I'll dive into my fortified bunker and prepare for the incoming assault on my humanity.

A friend of mine got a new Diamond 7ft. When I was there to take a look at it, he hard bounced a ball on the rail twice and said "they're indestructible". Didn't even leave a mark!
the pictured table was dropped most likely. if not abused i don't see the issue.

Self-explanatory title.
Tables and cloth are just awful.
I don't feel I'm in the minority either.
I wouldn't go quite that far.

I'd say the tables are acceptable, if set up right, as is the cloth. The problem, generally, with Predator is the pricing, which seemingly is how they came up with their company name. I happen not to like the look of the tables, but they are perfectly playable tables. They'd be an ok buy at 1/3-1/2 of the current price. The cloth is also way overpriced for what it is.

The cues are also about twice as expensive as they should be, if not more.

The only predator product I'd say is objectively awful is the chalk. I say that because of the mess it makes, it does its job ok if you don't own or operate the tables.

I played on one of the 7 footers at the Tournament site at the Rio for 90 minutes and it played fine, although the cloth was slow in my opinion. I don't like the looks much, and think they are overpriced.

How are you guys saying the Predator tables are overpriced? They are made in Europe, not China. European products are generally more expensive than even USA made products. Yet they are cheaper than both Diamond and GC.

What are prices of current 7ft bar boxes?

Diamond
Valley
Predator
Any others?

Just purchase cost, ignore freight.
