Does anyone know the name of that pretty and famous referee that works a lot of the International Tournaments? Also, what kind on money do they make? Thank you. Johnnyt

I was surprised to see that she's got an article on Wikipedia. :)

Here's an interesting quote: Refereeing is now my full time career, but I can't imagine a better way of earning a living - getting paid to do a job that I would do for nothing... :-))

Will OMGWTF be the next Michaela Tabb? I heard she's very good already. Never wrong, demands respect, and can't even be bribed with a 20oz steak. Johnnyt

I don't know a whole lot about her, other than what I have read on this forum. I did listen to her on a TAR broadcast recently with Jay Helfert, and she has a nice voice. There was a good rapport between her and Jay, which I enjoyed listening to. It gave me a flavor of the California pool scene. My boyfriend was getting homesick listening to it! :o

Is OMGWTF a referee? I did not know that.

She has been ref at one big event that I know of. Johnnyt

This shot was taked during the middle of a 2007 Mosconi Cup match...can't remember who was playing.

I remember she was pregnant (7 months) during the 2005 Mosconi Cup...and looked stunning! She had that 'glow' about her....

Whoa wtf!?. In that photo you see a big dot or mole on here face lol. In the one that shows here upclose you don't see that. Must be a glitch or bug in the photo.

Although they were not maried to each other at that time, her husband Ross McInnes is a pool legend and one of the finest, possibly THE finest, uk style 8 ball players it has ever been my pleasure to play against, which I did.....a lot......in the early/mid 80's in Scotland and elsewhere in Uk before moving permanently overseas. Several of us fringe pretenders around that time had reputations as 'shrewd tacticians', especially under the nature of the prevailing rules of that time, but he tied me and others in tactical knots time after time as well as having a deadly killer finish instinct and ability.

In the early 80's he won what I believe was the very first major Uk title, the British Masters, an event sponsored by none other than the multinational Suzuki Corporation and shortly after that uk style 8 ball went through a mini boom which included quite a lot of live terrestrial tv broadcasting of events and had some participation by the likes of Jim Rempe. Ross dominated for many years and is still an active player and very competent sports event organiser and promoter. Alas the pool boom did not last and today tournament professional 8 ball pool in Uk is once again still struggling for corporate patrons and sponsors just as it has been for many years.

Long may Michaela and Ross contribute their respective skills to the sport we all love.
