Refund on its way to Saddlebow as promised!

Doug-

Kind of corny but honesty is the best policy. You followed this age old motto and things worked out well in the end. Unfortunately, the original buyer seemed driven to bring this to the public before receiving his refund as you offered. The forum jury was ready to hang you before hearing any other details. Offering him 35% off a future cue is a hell of a way to further make it right. If your next cue looks like the one you sold in Olathe a few months ago, he would be getting a steal.

Take care and cya around. Gonna try to make it to Olathe myself.

Patrick Cues . ..

IMO this whole set of threads got way out of hand . . . public blasting and accusations flying when it probably should have been handled 1 to 1 between Doug and his customer.

In any case, Mr. Patrick is being a man about it, backing up his words with action, and IMO this should all be behind us.

Thanks for building great cues Doug . . . I've enjoyed mine and wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy another (and another!) or recommend you to anyone else considering buying a top notch cue.

Thanks Watchez and Alan and everyone else here.

I think Saddlebow had to have surgery one day last week, I am not really sure about what day. That is probably why he hasnt replied here as of yet.

Bill I hope all turned out good and wish you a speady recovery!

Well I cant speak for everyone else here, all I can say is I do everything that I can possibly do to keep my word! When something happens like in this particular instance, I do everything I can to make it right. I hope that someday Bill takes me up on my offer!!
Thanks again everyone!

Eric:

I will be there Thursday thru Sunday! Hop a plane and I will buy dinner!

Doug, there was never any doubt. I hope everyone who seen you get blasted by the know nothings on here see that you have made it right. Keep up the good work and as in life no matter how old we get we keep learning until we chose not to.

I just found a link to this, I usually stay clear of the main forum, WAY to much drama for me in most cases. Glad it all worked out, I never had a doubt about you doing the right thing. If one pays attention to the postings, etc. here, you get a feel for the good guys and the bad. You, Doug are definitly a good guy who got roasted by a lot of people that just like to see their name up there in a thread, IMO. One of which, goes out of his way to attack others as the 'voice' of etiquette in these types of situations, but that's another issue.....
It would be nice for some apologies to be delivered to you, either thru PM or here publicly, seeing as they roasted you publicly, from those that sought to throw you under the bus. Doubt it will happen, but one can always hope.
I really hope that someday, those same people get to experience the same mob treatment when they get themselves into a jam someday, trying to do the right thing, whether it be here or just in life. Karma has a way of paying back tit for tat.
look foward to seeing more cues from you, keep up the good work.

Thanks Dave! We can only hope! But I am going to say that is something that will not happen! People are easy to get on the bus, but it is very hard for some of them to get off and admit there wrong doings! It all worked out how is was supossed to in the end!

It's great that you did the expected thing, which is to refund him. I just wouldn't want to be the one waiting for weeks without my money. Shit happens!
