I was just curious, I know a few az members have been banned over the years and I was wondering if they have any way of being reinstated??? It just seems ashame and a loss to the community because we all have things to share and value.

Maybe a christmas reinstatement or if they listed a birthday then a 2 month trial reinstatement on their birthday. It just seems unfair to not give people a second chance.

When people get banned, it isn't by accident. It's not a typo that got them in trouble. Their actions are often very deliberate and they were aware of the consequences.

Also, this may be space provided to the public but it is NOT public property. This is Mike's forum and he can do as he likes with it. if AZB is your world, Mike is God.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with Jude here
if AZB is a bamboo forest then Mike is a Panda Bear

Yes, and if this is a Hooter's restaurant, Mike is a chicken with 50 wings.

I don't really care about the banning....It would not take a genious to figure out how to start posting under another name anyway.......(If that person really wanted to continue posting)

What I really want to know is.....

Does Mike allow smoking in this forum??? :)

And, NO Chewing & Spitting Into A Cup

NO ! You have to go Outside..

Doesnt it take 3 offenses to be banned. So they ALREADY had the second chance.

You need a poll option that says you get a 4th chance!

I believe that they (the Moderators) issue 1 week bans, 1 month bans, 3 month bans, 6 month bans and Permanent bans. Each case is different and they try to let the punishment fit the crime.

( most all Bans followed a pre-ban Warning )

I didn't vote because, some members I'd like to see return and some I wouldn't.... imo (let them eat cake)

I thought this was an adult message board/forum for pool players, and those interested in the games of pool.

I personally see zero reason to ban anyone, with the exception of a member who is ripping off other members like several on the banned list have done.

If someone, or something offends you, just ignore them, or it. I have read
many of the post of banned members, and some could be crazy, some are funny, other are imo wacko's, but all could be ignored by me.

As I said if I was the moderator I would only ban member who were cheats, and thieves, and victimized other message board/forum members. As that imho is the only reason to ban anyone imho.

I really think the right answer is "it depends" :P

Should a random spammer who isn't here to talk pool ever get unbanned? No... but a guy who wants to talk pool but acted like a jerk? Probably yes... there's no hard and fast rule. Some guys need a trial and some don't.

Definitely if you go by trial, 2 months is fine. 6 is overkill. If someone only pisses me off once every 6 months I wouldn't ban 'em in the first place.

And

that's 1 ...............................................................................:D :D :D

We need Drivermaker back; with immunity from banning. He at least will terrify all of the dimwits who post first and think later (if at all). It certainly will raise the overall quality of posts if everyone is living in fear that D'maker may attack them for something they have not properly thought out. Just an idea.

You can tell if it's the same person if the IP address is the same...If they actually contribute to the forum constuctively most of the time give them a temporary ban...if they continue causing problem then go permanent...

With the likes of John Schmidt, Danny Harriman, Jay Helfert, Freddy the Beard, and many of the other active posters who carry with them a rather large satchel of experience and knowledge, who is it that we can't afford to be without? Banned is banned. Mike is the Captain to this band of ragged bucaneers.

CreeDo spoke pretty much how I feel also. The other thing to consider is this...Was the person who was banned always confrontational and on a rant? If an idiot who can't talk without using insults and vulgarities posts like that and seems to always morph into that mode, then ban for life plus 99 years
