Removing predator logo from shaft?

Does anyone have recommendations on how to accomplish this without damaging the shaft? I thought about using sand paper but wasn't sure it'd be safe.

I don't have one laying around to look at but the logo is probably a transfer that is then clear coated over. You might be in for a lot of sanding and it will for sure look like crap.

Usualy absolutley everyone will detect that it s a laminated shaft- to feel *sneaky* with a laminated shaft...lol^^

Perhaps he s just not a *cosmetic fan* :p

Probably void your warranty. Its no problem if you have a lathe. If not you'll probably end up with a flat spot on your shaft. Take it to a repairman at least, then it will be a 2 minute job.

Check it out...Website is not up yet, but there is a sneaky new laminated cue. I just got mine they are from Dominiak cues it is called "Ultra pete". It is laminated from the tip to the butt. It comes with a Kamui med/soft, and it is made in the USA all that for $180.

The decals are usually under the clear. If so, it will look like CaCaDodooo
if you try to sand it off.

i think you'd be crazy to want to take off that logo but... instead of trying to sand or lathe it off i would suggest the cover up option, get some black model paint and give a light sanding around the cue you just want to give the paint a better chance to adhere then paint around the logo thus giving the effect that the collar is about 2" instead of 1" or if its a wood joint pred. shaft that it has a black collar.... hope that makes sence i wouldn't recomend doing this or sanding though and like some one said earlier i think this voids the warrenty.

No offense, but if it's the "sneaky" look he's going for, the cover-up method is only going to draw more attention to him. Not to mention, it'll most likely look awful. The paint may not bond, it may not match, it may end up being splotchy, bubbled, or it would probably just peel off eventually. Just my opinion.

The best part about taking it to a repairman, or a cue maker is that they can easily remove the logo, and refinish the shaft so that the change is not obvious, however this will not be a 2 minute job. Not to mention that they can also make the shaft meet flush with the cues butt.

I know it takes more than 2 minutes to finish over the bottom 4 inches of the shaft Craig. I just said that in relation to how much grief and time it will take if you hand sand and try to do the refinish without a lathe.

Best option is to just leave the logo there.
Another, slightly more expensive option...get a new shaft.

I had a collar put on my shaft and it took the logo off the shaft. I didn't really do it to get rid of the logo, but more for making people understand it's not a freaking house cue. I hate going to places and people picking up my cue just because it's a sneaky. Haha. I had it done at the BCA event last year. Anyone will do it for you. Adding a collar will give it a nice look.

Maybe having a crappy looking cue is just the amount of sneaky he's looking for.

In my local bar, there's this old timer that plays great and has the worst looking, spray-painted, POS cue I've ever seen, complete with huge warp.
