Renewal of Club Membership

My Club Membership is up for renewal by Sunday.
Should or Shouldn't I bother??:confused:
I use to think it meant something to contribute.
I look around now and it seems so many others have not renewed or have not yet donated. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=86523
I am wondering why it has become out of vogue. :confused:
Did Mike hit the Lottery?
Are there not enough privledges?
You didn't get your keychain on time? :sad:
You don't need the extra PM space?
You never watch the free streams Jerry offers?
You gave at the office? You contribute by posting? :rolleyes:
You bought something from the AZB Marketplace
Does anybody have a good reason why I should not renew

I think if you can afford the membership you should, if you cant in this economy I understand. I do like the extra PM space it gives me which is really nice even though I seem to fill it so fast regardless. I do hope members contribute because the more that do the more AZB can do for pool and they do so much as it is. I have done many giveaways on here and have had members say I should giveaway to only those with a membership but I would never do that, to me there are many who contribute much to this forum and do not have the club member banner.

Personally, I couldn't hack it with only 75 stored PM's. 150 is tough enough. I can't remember sh#t, so I store PM's so I can look back at crap I've said to figure out if I owe apologies to somebody.

I agree, where can you learn as much and have as much fun for $35/year?

A dime a day -very well spent.

There-I convinced myself to renew.

I'm a member because I think it's the right thing to do. Sounds to me like you've already provided that same justification to yourself. ;)

I just found mine stuffed away in a box.
If you re-up I will send you mine. No problem.
I think if AZ offered or denied some privillege it might bolster membership.
Does anyone have any ideas??
 
I will support a site that deserve one. :thumbup:

I just paid my donation.

I also haven't received my Keychain after all this years. :(

I did not renew my Club Membership because when I signed up I was promised
monthly Club Member drawings. The very few drawings that were actually held
had some nice prizes like a Diane Hoppe picture and a Frost-Reyes DVD.
But there should have been 25 drawings by now and there were only 4 or 5.

Over the past two years I have contacted AZHousepro about this matter several times.
Each time I was told he dropped the ball on the drawings and would start them up again.
Each time that turned out to be a lie.
The last time I contacted Mike (AZHousepro) about this matter I didn't even
get a response anymore. I don't like being lied to espescially when money is involved.

The reference below to the massive thread on smoking in poolrooms long since has digressed to arguments about "liberties" and "rights". As long as the moderators allow this to go on.....and on.....and on, I'll not connect my name to being a "member" of THE CLUB.

It has been discussed before. People do not want to see bigger Avatars it takes up to much unnecessary page space.
I said above (post #9) if you send a money order to me I would be happy to relay a paypal payment for your membership.

Dave it takes money to have drawings.
Sorry Not joining because not enough others are joining to enable the forum to finance free drawings just seems counter productive.
If membership were to increase. Maybe drawings could resume.

To me just having AZB is benefit enough.
It should not be about key chains, larger avatars or drawings.
Just helping Mike to maintain AZB as the best pool forum ever is good enough for me. :cool:
 
My Membership status will stay as it is, but thanks for the offer. BLAME OBAMA, he did not give me a Social Security KOLA

I renewed and I will continue to do so. AZ Billiards is one of the best tools around to promote the game, so I want to help keep it around.

Hi Rackem (was it Jeff? It's been a while since we pm'd)

Simply paying to support the site would be good enough for me too.
However, free keychains were offered and not delivered.
Monthly drawings were (and ARE) being offered and not held.
Dishonesty when you are taking peoples money is unacceptable.

Sorry but this is a bit of a sore spot for me, having pm'ed Mike at
least half a dozen times about this and getting the run around.
Everyone can forget, but after being reminded half a dozen times,
admitting your wrong and then do nothing time and time again.
Well, I guess you might call THAT counterproductive, if you're in a good mood.

Yeah, Dave I do see your point. The Non-implemented rewards are unnessary and should be removed from the offer.
I have got 2 years so far and so far nobody has come up with a good reason not to Renew.
I just wonder why Mike does so little to promote Club Membership.
I have PMd him and posted a few times suggesting that admin and maybe some other members who contribute otherwise should have honorary ribbons.
It would set a good example for new members to join.
Maybe we need a new or different Benefit to stimulate membership.
Does anybody have any suggestions along those lines.
Any suggestions should not cost the forum anything extra to provide.
