Replacement jump break tips

Well since I replaced my phenolic tip on my j&j last nite to a hard layer'd tip. I could care less lol.
I still have my elite jump cue with a phenolic tip.

I guess not everyone realizes Phenolic Tips are harder than a Cue Ball and put chips in them. Sorry I am not up on the latest hard tip for replacement of the phenolic tips. I have heard a Diamond Tip is good?? But My Jump shot might go the devil because of the new rule.

The white diamond tip won't be legal either, will it? I have one of those on one j/b cue, and a samsara j/b tip on another. The samsara hard leather tip hits very good (so does the white diamond, but I think you will be ruled against with that). Not sure though. Anybody know for sure?

im thinking of buying a cuetech j/b with a lepro tip. Is that a good break cue and is the tip good at all??? How hard was it to change that tip on your J&J I thought the tip and ferrule were all one piece on those?

Samsara Jump Break tip is the best replacement.

Troy,
Have you tried the Talisman WB XHard tip?
That tip has one of the highest hardness ratings. I also have a leather tip from tiger that is extremely hard, in my opinion the Samsara does hit a bit on the soft side and I do not like that feeling.

IMHO Any Layered tip can't be as hard as a solid Phenolic Tip. I put one on a Buddies stick and they cut hard because they are layered. But they seem to sand a lot easier than Phenolic Tips. BTW he supplied 3 tip in exchange for putting it on. I have two left. He told me he got 3 for $ 10.00.

I have to agree. I've not noticed any difference on how hard they are, but I have definitely noticed a heck of a lot more control on both the break and on jumping.

I've put about 8 of these on for others, and all have had nothing but great things to say about them.

I was turned on to them by Royce Bunnel of OB cues. They use these on their break cues, and have been getting rave reviews.

The Samsara Break/Jump tip is by far the best tip out there. Even if phenolic was allowed again, I wouldn't go back. The Samsara feels just as hard but it holds chalk much, much better and is way easier to control. It also seems to jump a lot easier than phenolic. I have mine installed on a phenolic ferrule to give it a little extra.

I had a Samsara tip put on my BK2. I'm so happy I did it. IMO I didn't lose anything power wise but I gained ALOT control wise. I was parking the cue in the center of the table almost everytime. Now I know why OB decided on having that tip for thier Break Cue.
