Reputation giving and receiving?

The number in parenthesis is the feedback from a transaction like buying or selling a cue. I've made on purchase from an AZB member & when I clicked on the number it shows his comments about the transaction.

Ah, many thanks for clearing that up, sir.

Don't worry about your rep, it will find you.

Am I totally missing something here? By the numbers provided by yourself and Bob something seems way off. By you post PT - That would mean you rcvd over 2000 greenies on each post???? And to Bob's post - so if a member was here for 10 years it would take over 500 humdred green is EACH AND EVERY DAY?????? What am I missing or are yall just playing?

When a person with max points gives a greenie, the recipient gets over 20,000,000 rep points. That makes things kind of spiral out of control when you get a group of people repping each other every day for the very clever things they say in the NPR forum.

When I first joined, some of the old timers liked me...
...when they give you one greenie....it's a lot of points.
Shooting Arts alone gave me zillions.

And well deserved, I might add.
Greenies mean very little in the overall scheme of things. They are more like a nod of the head, or a wink of an eye when telling someone, "Well done.", or "I agree.", or maybe, "That was a funny thing you just said."

The rep system was cool but then a small group started the "Rep game" where they would send it back and forth. Since the more you have the more points you give it didnt take long for the spirit of the system to be ruined by a small percentage of dummies.

Someone could post the secret to life and get rep from a hundred people not in the goofy group and get 1000 points. Someone in the group could post "I agree" and get hundreds of thousands of points from his rep game derp buddies. Over time you can see how this would spread.

At this point its completely meaningless outside of a quick way to send a private comment on a specific post.

I trader

Ah, many thanks for clearing that up, sir.

If you are going to buy or sale cues, your I trader is pretty important.
You get 2 or 3 bad deals and your done.
You don't seem like you are out to make anyone upset at you.
You most likely don't have to worry about your reputation.

Welcome to the forum .
