REPUTATION vs. iTRADE

i'm completely ignorant about rep points. i can't view any comments, although i can see my own. wasn't it a new version a couple of years ago?

trader comments are cool, although i think posts and length of time here speak pretty loudly.

I think that rep should be about a person having some knowledge of some aspect of the game and being willing to be helpful and motivational to other members.... being a positive influence on others.

Trader points are about being honest in one's dealing.

Each are important and as far as I'm concerned I don't deal with people who don't exhibit integrity, cash-register honesty, concern for others, and a wllingness to be helpful on whatever level they can.

Sorry, since I didn't know I was in the clique, I don't know who they are and I don't really care. Just the tone of the whole clique thing I find very annoying. Some people just can't stand not being noticed or whatever. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
your not in the clique because no one cares what you think really.

Well as far as i can tell so far at least:p

Thaks for the ignore, its one less moron flaming every post i reply or start. I truly truly thank you

Man, first I have a clique, then I find out I am in a clique and now I am a tough guy. This has been a very informational evening.

You are probably right though. Better to just shut up and be all "low key" than to put together stuff like Alex vs Shane and the Derby City stream and talk about it here. Would you like me then? Because it really matters to me.

I am also curious how you happen to know all the people that wont buy our stuff because we are arrogant or abrasive. I have had a few people say they dont like our stuff or its not good enough and that is fine. It doesnt meet their standards and I get that but I have never had someone come up to me at a tournament and say "You are an arrogant and abrasive person so therefore I will not buy your product".

But there could be many who THINK that but would never say so to your face.

The very first thing I learned when I got involved in this stuff is that you can't please everybody.

Correct...but at the same time, if you care about making any real money on the TAR thing, it is not in your interest to offend those who you might not please because those who you do not please today, are your potential customers tomorrow.

I treat everyone I meet with respect and as nice as I can. Just like on here. If someone is an idiot or out of line I say something in real life. Just like I do here.

Just as there are large numbers of members who you don't please with your TAR offerings...at least not enought to subscribe...there are large numbers of members who would not agree with who you think is an "idiot" or who is "out of line." Whose line, by the way, are they out of???

You have quite correctly reserved the right to speak your mind and so I am sure you will respect me for doing the same thing...even though you will not agree with me.

So, in that spirit, I admire and applaud all the work you do to bring SOME sort of live and later, recorded versions of pool matches. You deserve a lot of credit for that.

Having said that, IHO, you are OFTEN unnecessarily abraisive...including with me from time to time. That is simply a poor business practice and would get you fired from any consumer product/service company of any substance.

You don't have to...and shouldn't kiss anything that ought not to be kissed but flaming posters in threads that have nothing to do with TAR will not get you into the Marketing Hall of Fame.

Possibly you could care less about that...which is fine. But if you are not spending your time on TAR business with the goal of becoming a substantial success...then what are you in it for I wonder??

Just straight from the shoulder commentary...not picking a fight at all.

Regards,
Jim

That's all well and fine but, I get most of my Rep when the infighting like this starts and I step up to quell the storm.
Sadly, I'm not feeling well today, so I've sent my buddy on my behalf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxIuIxqo2So

Well just because you asked, the reason I personally am involved with TAR is because it allows me to do what I love to do. The tech end is fascinating and I get to travel all over the country, meet cool people and sweat some of the best action out there. When I get into something I make an effort to do it the best that I can. I also do everything I can to make sure our customers get the best service we can provide. As far as making it a success I guess in my mind it already somewhat of a success. We are still here and have bigger and better things planned for the near future than we ever imagined when we started this thing.

It is funny that you find me abrasive or whatever because I think you in particular are one of the posters here who contributes very little actual knowledge or substance. Kind of like chiming in here. You always seem to find yourself in some sort of fight or conflict. One of us has been banned more than once. Wonder why that is?

I am not a marketing guy, I am not going to shut up and smile like an idiot all in the hopes of making a buck off someone just because they feel they can say whatever they want to me and I will agree. I like to think of it as integrity. Maybe you are different.

Success means different things to different people. Some are willing to sell out their integrity for a nice house or whatever they feel is a material measure of that success. I am not. To me success is doing what you love and being around people you like and admire. Money is just a tool to get down the road or make our product better. If I was worried about "success" in your sense of the word I would have never set foot into the pool industry.

Just straight from the shoulder commentary...not picking a fight at all.

Cincydude this is for you only,.....

only 4.6% for my customers are over 65. So about 95% are young, we dont pray on the elderly, if they cant speak english we dont take the sale, or if they are mentally unfit again we dont take the sale

thought I would pm you the facts than embarass you pubically. <-----I changed my mind

we have 30,000 customers/month and 30-40complaints from the BBB, private practice lawyers, AG's offices, and other Govt agencys. Do the math 30/30000 is a small number.

I have regular compliance reviews by the FTC and AG's office, and in 10 years I have never had a problem.

Whats the beef? Seriously? Would you like me to send you the solication my customers get, and recordings of the transactions? We have a computer tell them everything so there arnt any misrepresentations or ommissions by rough people on the phone, we dont pay commissions so there is no incentives for people to lie, we dont hire people with telemarketing experience. EVERY sale we have all 30,000/month are recorded from end to end-not just high lights or the "Good parts" the whole thing. They are web based for the regulators to hear.

whats the problem?

cincydude needs to chill, man is he jealous. if i get shot we have a person of interest.

I got a $100,000,000 to lose if I get popped for fraud, do you really think i'm that dumb? I dont have fancy assett protection attornys all my chips are on the table. Titled assetts in MY name and in the bank.

how board are you?

Craig, I don't know if you caught it or not, but I started a thread on this same subject a few mos. ago. However it lacked your eloquence, or Justin's common sense. I just went straight for the flamer's jugular!

It's heartwarming to see how many it affected, NOT !!!

P.S Swore off these type threads, but I couldn't resist.

Thanks Dick, I will take the time to read the thread.

I believe it is how bored am i not "how board are you"

and the answer is very very very bored. I have a 13 day old daughter keeping me up all night and have nothing else to do.

As i have explained before i am not Jealous at ALL i actually feel sorry for you that you have no conscience and earn your money that way,, but the original post i made only made fun of you a little and i was also making fun of many other regulars as well so dont flatter yourself.

But i appreciate all the info you gave me i didn't even read it to be honest except the part where you used the wrong spelling on the word bored and that is only because it was at the bottom and i stumbled onto it.

Please dont ever pm me again unless you are sending my child money for her college tuition, and if you do i will immediately donate it to someone who needs it more.:D

Hey keep up god's work of taking advantage of the fine print laws, you truly are a saint and a hell of a nine ball player.
